On Thursday morning so I can see how I'm doing for the week, and on Monday morning to see how I did over the weekend.

A friend who has lost 125# in about 18 months has a cheat day every single week, and still loses weight most weeks (she's very, very close to goal.) It can work, as long as "cheat day" doesn't turn into "cheat weekend" or "cheat week."

I haven't been able to stay on the 1220 MFP wanted me to eat for a 1.5 # weight loss for more than a few weeks at a time. This time around I'm trying 1500 - it will be slower, but I think it will be easier for me to actually stick with. 1200 was just too low for me right now, too much of a shock after eating way more. I am…

Vanity sizing. Today's size 12 is not what a size 12 was in 1986. A 1986 size twelve is probably a 14 or a 16 now. That size 8 you're wearing was probably a 12 or so back in 1986.

I prefer Vitamin Water Zero - it doesn't have sugar, it uses Truvia. I don't count it as water, though. But it doesn't have artificial sweetners.

These are the custom ones that are molded for your feet; right? My MIL paid $150 for her pair. $200 per foot seems high to me, but different doctors etc.

Thanks for this thread, because I have recently discovered the "kids size" flatouts and I'm so excited to find fun things to put in my 60 calorie wraps!

I'm in! I'll post my weight tomorrow. I have spent the last two months losing and regaining the same handful of pounds, I am so ready to show a REAL LOSS! ;)

I have recently become a big fan of the "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" spray. Buttery flavor without the calories. Sure, it's not the real thing, but it helps!

My husband cured me of this when he started joking that every time I ate off someone else's plate I should have to record it as I ate the entire serving of whatever it was. Really got me to thinking before I snatched fries from my daughter. :)

A cup of water is 8 ounces. So if you drink a 16 oz bottle, that's 2. If you drink a 24 ounce bottle, that's 3. I have a 24 ounce water bottle and I fill it three times a day - once in the morning, once in the afternoon and once in the evening (and usually drink it during my evening workout.) Then I get 9 cups a day of…

I'm set to 1250 a day, but I exercise 200-350 cals a day (that only takes 40 minutes - 200 if I walk, 350 if I do an exercise video) and eat most of those back. It's a good way to get more food, and it definitely doesn't take 90 minutes of exercise in a day to get a couple hundred calories extra to eat.

I "work out" six days a week but I'm just starting out on this and I'm pretty overweight, so my workouts are a 45-60 minute walk or 40 minutes doing a workout video. Not an intense work out, but enough to get the scale moving at my current weight. Monday was my rest day this week because I did a lot of walking on both…

Also, keep in mind that unless you go over your maintenance calories, one big day isn't going to cause you to GAIN weight. I eat 1200+whatever I work out, but I'd have to eat 2000 to actually GAIN weight. So if I have a meal out and eat 2000 for a day and only burn off 400, I figure even at 1600 I'm still not going to…

I know I'm early but my weigh in day is Thursday: March 31st: 212.2 April 7th: 210.4 (1.8 lbs lost!) April 14th: 207.8 (4.4 lbs lost. Almost there!) April 30th goal: 207.2

I try to put it into perspective. Back when I had really bad acne I used to watch commercials where someone would be complaining about one zit, and go "Wow, I'd kill to have ONE zit." Now that I'm older and have better skin, having that one zit really drives me crazy! Just like being 80 lbs overweight makes me look at…

I've ranged from 205 to 220 and I've never been out of an 18. I'm really curious because the last time I fit into a 16, I was at 180. I really hope I don't still need to lose another 25 lbs before I go down a size. (But I'm only 5'1", so there's nowhere for all the weight to spread out!)

When I was doing C25K, my "run" was basically a jog when I first started. I figured I'd get through the program and THEN work on speed.

This is what I do, too. I log my breakfast, then I log what I brought for lunch, then I log what I'm planning to make for dinner, then I figure my snacks around that. I will also plug in my nightly work out ahead of time so that I can plan my meals around those extra calories (and then I have to do it! Built-in motivation!)
-
Oh, TOM will do it, that's for sure - if you look at the graph of my progress here on MFP it's really obvious where my TOM is - I gained three pounds, and then afterwards almost immediately dropped four - the three I'd gained in bloating, plus the pound I lost by eating right.
-
Yup, it's definitely a % thing. Losing 10% of your body weight at 200 is going to be just as difficult as losing 10% at 125, but the 200 pound person will lose 20 pounds and the 125# person will lose 12.5

I was on Xenical back when it was prescription, probably in 2000 or 2001 or so. It said in my information that if I was going to have a high-fat meal, stop taking it a day or two ahead of time. So since we were going to go to the movies on Sunday and I wanted popcorn, I didn't take it on Saturday or Sunday. Monday I had to…

At about ten pounds down I took pictures, because I know I won't be able to see a difference. (I started at 219, I'm hovering around 206-207 right now)

Your diary is kind of sparse, so it's hard to tell. Are you eating dinner? You haven't logged a dinner yet. If you're only eating 800-900 calories, you're not eating enough. Your body won't let go of fat reserves if it thinks it doesn't have enough food coming in.
-
Also, if you are only trying to lose 15 pounds you are probably not that much overweight, and 4 pounds in 2 months is .5 lb a week, which is a perfectly reasonable goal for someone with a small amount to lose.
-
With that little to lose, I think .5 or 1 are both decent. With your wedding coming up you're going to be stressed enough so I'd keep it at .5.

I'm in, although I'm a bit late checking in! March 31st: 212.2 April 7th: 210.4 (1.8 lbs lost!)
