Girl! you look amazing! and I love the fact that you are rocking gala gowns. :) I want an excuse to have to dress up in a gorg gown like that, but I definitely want to be more in my goal area before I have to do that. LOL

Surprisingly ANA (a new approach) jeans at JC Penny are FANTASTIC. They usually fit my size 14 thighs with out giving too much of a gap in my size 12 waist. Just enough stretch to make them comfortable, but not too much. And they are less than $40 usually!

You can definitely tell it in your waist! I have started PiYo 3 times so far... and I can't bring myself to finish it. Be proud of just finishing!!

You have a very similar body type to my husband - You may look "bigger" to some people, but a lot of that is pure muscle and bulk. I would focus on getting some extra cardio in where you can rather than looking to build your muscle so much. I agree with the person above that said you have strong legs!

You look so happy! You can definitely see the loss in your face... and you look at least 5 years younger if not more! Great job!! :flowerforyou:

opening up your diary helps others see the types of foods you are eating as well, in addition to how they are being tracked and calculated. You asked for help... that's just what people are trying to do. If you dont want advice, dont ask for it. Have you had your fasting insulin tested? That would be my next step in…

Best decision I ever made! I went from a G to a D when they were first done. I remember crying to my mom the day after (I was likely still heavily medicated) because I told her my boobs were so small I had "boy boobs". AT A D! It's so funny to me know looking back on that. You got it done around the time I did (mine was in…

MadHatter... Please tell me they are married and living happily ever after. Because that story could just not end any better!

Wow, Dragonwolf... from the beginning of the post related to Mulan (one of my favorites!) all the way to the end, that was one of the most inspiring and informative posts about Metformin and PCOS I have ever read. Thank you for sharing!!!

Yes, a B12 supplement in addition to any prenatals you are taking is important! abvickrey, were you put on 2000mg to start, or are they weaning you on them?

I had knee surgery 2 years ago, and I am currently at the end of the first level of 30DS. Those knee circles at the beginning I do both ways and a little more than she does just to work them out more, and I am still doing modified of a lot of the moves. I can't do jumping jacks ever again (as per my physical therapist) so…

It is a battle all of us in this group are going through, so you definitely have support here! I just started Metformin for the third time last week. The first two, I had such terrible side effects that I couldn't continue taking it. This time, they put me on the Extended Release formula, and so far I have not had any side…

I just saw your reply, so sorry for not getting back! Thank you for this information for sure. I have a 72 oz bubba keg that I carry with me everywhere, and managed to drink almost 3 of them yesterday. That last week to lose 5 lbs is enough to keep pushing me to the finish line! I did measure myself before hand, and took…

I have also heard of Inositol for help with ovulation. Have you read anything about that? you can get it in powdered form on Amazon, which is more concentrated, and it's less than $15

Maybe I will look into the vitamin c thing too. It's getting so annoying!!! LOL On for 7 days, off for MAYBE 10... on for 7 more.

Thank you so much! I am likely just freaking myself out... If it's holding on to water, could it just be water weight? If so, what's the best remedy for that?
-
Yeah I have been doing Jillian's 30 Day Shred religiously since two days before I started the meds, and wasn't doing that at all before. Hormonal may also be an issue...but my cycles are so all over the place I have no clue when I am going to start and when I'm not. Sarah, my doctor originally mentioned being on the…

Well then maybe you arent having short cycles after all! YAY! (although now I really feel like an anomaly HAHA!)

My husband and I are TTC, so I have been using ovulation tests but haven't gotten a DEFINITIVE positive just yet. I just got put on Metformin, and my OBGYN has said that in 3 months if I am not pregnant then we are going to start Clomid. Ovulation tests aren't always accurate in people that have PCOS anyway. I would…

I stopped BC in November in hopes of starting a family, and since then my periods come every 17 days like clockwork. A few have made it up to 21 days (big whoop...) but it is usually end of day 16/start of day 17. It's definitely a PCOS thing, even though many more people experience just the opposite. However, with just…

Thank you TechGal! It's not an excuse... it's a legitimate issue. I mean, would people with diabetes be picked on? It's bascially the same thing! Thanks for the advice about the carbs. I have found that cutting out dairy helps too, though I am not sure how that is connected.

I just bought a heart rate monitor because of this very thing! What were your actual calories burned?
-
You can add me as well! :) accountability is key
-
Thanks Jenn! I have actually heard a lot of good things about Paleo and PCOS. This may be the right time to try it out!
-
thank you SO much Mshollingsworth. I am definitely friending you! :) That is just the kind of motiviation i was looking for. Do you eat back the calories you lose when working out? I agree Coyla that some people may do unhealthy things, but unfortunately that's just not something anyone can control. I have faith that the…

Calories I am keeping between 1300 and 1500. I just purchased a food scale and a heart rate monitor so my calculations are more accurate. I really want to lose the weight and keep it off.... not do crazy things just for the sake of the challenge.

and feel free to add me as a friend!

Thank you slb573! Positivity is just what I need to focus on I'm sure!
