MFP Calorie est Walking

So after my regular workout yesterday I decided to take a walk since it was such a nice day here in Oklahoma. I used my hrm so I had a good est of my calories burned, although I wasn't sure what my pace was. When I went to log it in, I noticed a flaw in MFP. I know you can enter your own calories (which I did) but I wanted to see how close their estimate was compared to my actual. It seems the issue is with the 4mph.....
50 mins @ 5 mph = 537 cals
50 mins @ 4 mph = 729 cals
50 mins @ 3.5mph = 255 cals
I'm glad I had my hrm, but gosh if I didn't and had logged 4mph it could have caused me to overeat for the day....

Wow - that's actually funny. I'm glad I can't walk 5 MPH (too short) .......I wouldn't want to miss out on a great calorie burn at he slower speed :laugh:0
