I love just tossing them in a little olive oil and salt and roasting them. I also found a recipe recently where you peel, cube and microwave them to partially cook, then sauté with olive oil, yellow peppers and diced jalapeños. It was a really nice side dish.

I'm so embarrassed with myself tonight. I've had a pretty good week and tonight I went out with a friend after work... Had a sandwich and homemade chips and a beer - a great treat that should have more than satisfied me. I came home and binged like mad, eating crap, and added on probably 500-600 calories. Ugh. Feel. Like.…

Thank you so much for sharing your story! I had such a good start to my journey but I hit a plateau and have completely gotten off track the last couple of months. I feel terrible but can't seem to get my inspiration and motivation back. I think I lost sight of the big picture and what is possible because I still have so…

Nice ink!

That's a great idea! I'm still so far from goal but I do have some clothes still from the last time I was there... They'd prob be good motivation.

Naughty (in a good way of course!)

Sure!

I think 10 lbs is more realistic but with the strength training / weights you could lose more inches too and either way you'll feel great about yourself when the day gets here :). Congrats!

Thanks for the link, but she did say she was looking to hear success stories from women 'around the same height'...

Wow... Talk about judgmental!

For someone who has never done any real strength training, any suggestions for where to start?

This thread is awesome!! Such inspiration and encouragement. I am 5'7". I started this journey a year ago at 270 lbs. I just hit 60 lbs down but I'm definitely struggling to keep up the motivation as the loss slows down a bit. I have been mostly walking/jogging for exercise but I really need to do something to tone as I…

That's awesome - congratulations!

I'm 60 lbs down and I'm really worried about the same. I feel like I have more 'flab' now than at my heaviest. I should probably look into some toning workouts to try and tighten some of it up. Frustrating!

You ladies rock :) I just hit 55 lbs doe and have another 40-50 to go. Trying not to get hung upon the number right now but more on the little wins and can't wait to shop 'normal' sizes. Almost there!

I do every morning. Partially out of habit but it does help to learn more about how certain foods or too little water or travel...etc will make a difference. I don't get worried about the fluctuation day to day since it can go up or down a few pounds overnight but I like to see the number each morning regardless. Helps me…

Hi Cindy! Good for you for taking the first step! You'll love the fitbit and the support from people here is fantastic. You can do this!!

That's a good idea. I do as long as I feel like I have a good shot at being successful. We just started a new challenge at work and I've already dropped off. Its focused on getting activity in every day, Mon-Fri (they don't count weekends). I find it really hard to keep up with and would rather just stay focused on my goal…

I'm not sure why it would have done that, but I would go back in and re-enter all of your settings and see if that brings it back up.
