Calorie Allowance Decreased?

Has anyone else had their calorie allowance decrease - and not due to inputting a weight loss?
I haven't used MFP for about 4 months and back then I had around a 1, 500 allowance, I've actually put 6lbs on since that time (and have updated my profile accordingly) and yet MFP is calculating 1, 300 cals for me? Seems a bit low for my height and CW.
I'm not sure if they've recalibrated their whole calorie system since I've not been using it, or if my cals are so low because of the recorded weight gain??

What I do and what I recommend to people is to eat at a calorie level that allows you to drop 1-2 lbs/week. This assumes an average calorie burn from you getting in all of your workouts. This will be different for everyone, so you'll have to do some trial and error to figure it out. I'd start ~1600 cal/day. Hit this goal, along with your macros and getting in your workouts, for a week. If you lose 1-2 lbs, you're good to go. If you lose too much, increase your intake and repeat. If you don't lose enough, reduce your intake a bit and repeat. After a few weeks, you'll figure out what works for you in your situation.

Your calories would probably increase if your weight has increased, not decrease. Are your settings and goals the same? - Weight loss per week, activity level...etc.0

Maybe you had manually set your calories?0

I'm not sure why it would have done that, but I would go back in and re-enter all of your settings and see if that brings it back up.0

Yeah I've tried re-entering it but it still shows the same. Strange!
I was just expecting to see a calorie increase due to my weight increase - not a decrease of over 200 cals. Completely confused me!0 -
Did you have it set manually the first time around? Like go in and type 1600 after calculating it yourself? Could you have possibly changed the rate at which you wish to lose weight from 1 to 2 lbs a week or something?0

Hi - nope just let MFP calculate them for me and haven't changed anything else other than recording the weight gain.0
