Yea, you got me there. I lost my weight 5 lbs/month and I thought it was pretty awesome. This is a free website, anyone can post on the forums. When you ask for advice, you're going to get a lot of conflicting info. That's just the way it is. You have to do a lot of your own research and use critical thinking to…

So cool! Congrats!!!!!!

I lost 30 lbs in the first 6 months, 62 lbs in the first year, 85 lbs in the first 18 months

I actually had mfp set to maintenance for most of my weight loss, and would aim to be 3500 under per week. Now it's still set to maintenance and I aim to either be barely under for the week or a few hundred under for the week depending on if I'm trying to maintain or trying to lose a bit slowly. ;)
-
True (but I have in an airplane lavatory) I've never gone fishing.
-
Yes people started saying stuff like that to me while I was still overweight.
-
So have you been eating around 1700 for a few weeks and maintaining? Or why do you think those are your maintenance calories? I'd up calories slowly, maybe eat 1900 for a couple of weeks and see what happens. Hopefully you get some good replies on increasing your maintenance calories! Good luck !

That's not at all true. There are countless threads on the topic. Seems like a lot of people have a similar experience -- if you've lost a lot of weight, people will start telling you you're too skinny when you're still overweight. That being said, I'm 5'3.75" and 133 and I wouldn't mind to lose 5-10 lbs of fat  When…

Try this group as well. There have been lots of posts about bulking/cutting so you might find some info, or you can post yourself  Sara and Sidesteel are the mods in that group and they have great advice imo. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/10067-eat-train-progress- Here's one bulking thread I came across…

#1 I get and I think wanting to show others you can do it can go hand in hand with showing yourself that you can do it, boosting your own self esteem. But #2 and #3 I don't really understand what you mean. You want to prove that it's hard? But once you succeed, won't whoever the "he" is still think it was easy? I…

I'm so sorry about your loss. Best wishes continuing your journey :flowerforyou:

Honestly, I'd call that normal fluctuation. My lowest weight was 131. I was there for a couple of months, but I've been closer to 133 for the past few months. My clothes fit the same, measurements the same. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1071202-why-you-gain-weight-if-you-eat-more-than-your-cut

I never care about going over for a day, but try to be under for the week. So I'm under half the time and over half the time. If you are always a little under, or if you are still losing and don't want to, you might want to manually up your calories by 100-200 and see how your weight does after a few weeks of that?…

oops double post

Thanks for sharing!!!!!!!! Doing great!

I ate plenty of junk while losing and I eat plenty of junk now lol  I just care about calories and getting enough protein.
-
This is kind of the constant debate I've been having with myself for almost a year lol  My stats are close to yours. 5'4", 133, 24% bf. The options you listed were body recomp or cut. The thing with recomp is that it's not a given that you will decrease your body fat % by eating at maintenance, eating enough protein,…
