Hi. I just started 4 days ago and am going by the advice of an online coach. I have been feeling more energized and seeing the scale slowly dip. Add me!

LOVE your success and positive attitude. Very inspiring to someone who also keeps pulling herself back up. Keep going strong... P.S. And give your amazing, supportive wife another huge hug. Supportive spouses ROCK!

Just a month away from the big 4-0

I LOVE apple and cheese. Salty/sweet yumminess for a quick snack.

I work at 2:30 a.m. until about 8 a.m. when I take kids to school, or 9 and then go to the gym. I do the Intermittent Fasting 16:8 so I end up eating breakfast after the gym, around 11:30 or so. Some days it is not easy because I'm awake 8 hours before breakfast, but coffee and a gallon of water usually helps.

I'm an attention *kitten*...my attention. All my hard work, and the first place it showed/shows up if my upper body, arms, and back. So yup, to inspire me on my squats that I feel haven't done a daggone thing, I see my biceps while squatting and feel like SOMETHING is working.

My husband calls me "cute" because last night he told me about a place he was taking me to dinner on Friday night, and I already went through their menu and logged what I was going to have, including dessert. Like Max, I tend to do pre-evening prep when making the kid lunches for school the next day so I know what is…

Thank you all for your responses. I appreciate the input and also knowing that I am not alone :)

Squat form has to be so perfect or there's cause for injury. For me, I personally love doing leg presses after my squats. It helps me feel it in different muscles depending on leg placement and adds variety. Also gives me a break before I do my deads. Like Chris, when I couldn't do squats due to an injury, it still helped…

I met my husband when he was super skinny, married him when he was overweight with a belly, and happily married to him 8 years later with his 4 pack (he's working on it). I love the cut look on the man I love. I'm just saying...

chrisdavey and liftnlove because I think they could seriously make me cry (in a good way). BombshellPhoenix and the two above because their motivation ROCKS!!!

if it's like a gnawing/hunger feeling, it may be your stomach acids. I noticed it for a few weeks too when I cut out all junk and processed foods. My research showed that stomach acids can get used to processing in one way, and when taking away the processed part of it, then it may need time to readjust the amount of acid…

I personally took it as a compliment. It's like getting the nod of approval. I belong to a great gym where if we go in at a certain hour, say between 9 to 11 am, there are more women than men (meaning usually 3 women and one man). But any other time of the day (and we have been in all crazy hours), it is usually only men…

That rocks. Four years old and already getting it done.

With my daughter, she will only grow another inch if she isn't done already. But with my son, because he is only just hitting his stride, he absolutely has to do minimum 12 reps. If he can do 13 or more, then he is allowed to increase the weight. For him, since he just started this week, we are using the circuit machines,…

Don't you hate when you spend like an hour writing a post, and then you send it just when all the spam hits and you end up at the bottom of the barrel of posts? ;) Bump

You totally ROCK and INSPIRE!!! Thank you.

This summer with kids has entailed a lot of movies (no time during school year). Our go-to: Raw string beans, add hummus if you'd like, almonds and cheese. Even if I eat beforehand, there's something about a movie that makes me munch-y, so I gotta have something.

One of the other benefits to going to the gym regularly is I have met a female fitness competitor that helps me. And her husband is a physical therapist specializing in teenagers, so he has been extremely instrumental in providing correct positions and exercises and warmups for my daughter, which are things even the…

I'd love to join. I'm on a mission as my last year of 30s is here of starting my 40s in the best shape ever.

Brave by Sara Bareilles. I figure if that guy in the gym in video doesn't care what people think, then neither should I. And then to the cage I go....
