Having a weird empty feeling from dieting

I used to eat badly, so now I'm eating a lot of fruits and vegetables. Also, I am not eating out of boredom now. But ever since I started, I haven't been overrating and I've been drinking a lot of water. I have this strange empty feeling, and I really feel it when I lay on my back. Don't get me wrong, I really like the feeling. I don't feel fat with this feeling, I just want a possible explanation for it?

Get that diet word out of there! It's a lifestyle change.
I'm not sure why you would be having an empty feeling. Perhaps not eating enough? Protein is what keeps you full, maybe you aren't getting enough of that. If you like the feeling, don't worry about it!0 -
Maybe you've always been bloated, but got really used to it?0

I honestly think you're right! (Last answer, and sorry I'm new to MFP)0

if it's like a gnawing/hunger feeling, it may be your stomach acids. I noticed it for a few weeks too when I cut out all junk and processed foods. My research showed that stomach acids can get used to processing in one way, and when taking away the processed part of it, then it may need time to readjust the amount of acid it produces. I took antacids for a time until everything evened out. Until this post, I hadn't even realized that I didn't have the problem anymore0
