  • You look amazing... I love your chest piece!
  • It's eating only whole, natural foods. Nothing processed or "man made"... it requires you to eliminate refined sugars, salt, soda, alcohol...
  • I've seen the Dropkick Murphys and the Bosstones together soo many times!!! Hometown Throwdown! Always a great show -- and somehow I always leave bruised and bloody.
  • First: I honestly don't remember... some random local punk band. Last: Circa Survive
  • I might be able to narrow it to top 3: 1. David Bowie in 2003 maybe 2. Sunny Day Real Estate (The 2009 Reunion) 3. Less Than Jake in 2000 because it was my first date with my fiance. I've been to too many good shows to really pick favorites... I typically don't go to big stadium shows, I stick with small, dirty, smoky,…
  • It means they're total d-bags!
  • This was the list I would've made in 1998!! haha
  • Small goals are better than no goals!!! I also gained a lot over the holidays!!!
  • I don't know about jump starting your metabolism, but I know I've lost weight since I started eating a good breakfast everyday. I teach preschool and I used to snack with the kids and pick at junk food all day -- when I eat breakfast, I show up to work full and have no desire to pick at the snacks we provide. Because of…
  • Today I ran while listening to Titus Andronicus... but I change up my work out music a lot!
  • Just watch what you eat and exercise everyday! I had doctors tell me for YEARS that I couldn't lose weight with Hypothyroidism so I never tried... when I finally put in the smallest effort, it worked!

  • I did my C25K today... and remember why I quit the first few times I tried it. I hate running -- but I'm going to stick with it!!!!
  • My mom does the same thing! I think it's out of jealousy. I've gone from a size 22 to a 12, and my mom regularly offers me her old size 16 jeans and says things like "They're stretchy, so even though they're a 16 I think you can squeeze yourself into them." Over the holidays when my whole family was commenting on my weight…
  • I'm only 5'2" and 202. I got down to 185 before the holidays, but gained A LOT back from Thanksgiving to Christmas.
  • I haven't had a baby, but I feel the same way!! I've been with my fiance for 11 years -- since we were 15. For the first 5 years of our relationship, we had sex 3 or 4 times a day. Even at my heaviest we had a pretty decent sex life. Since losing weight, it seems I'm MORE self conscious than before. I hope that stops soon…

  • Bottled iced tea... but I'm still under my calories for the day and struggling to force myself to eat dinner.
  • When I started losing weight, I wore a 42DD.... 56lbs lost, and somehow I am now a 36DDD. Everyone around me makes comments about how most women go flat chested when they lose weight, but mine got bigger. Such an inconvenience!
  • They absolutely help you lose weight, but they are loaded with garbage! I think it's a good starting point if portion control is your problem. I dropped 26 lbs in ONE month by switching 2 meals a day to Lean Cuisines. I've completely cut out frozen/processed foods from my diet to actually get healthy, but Lean Cuisine…
  • You look AMAZING. You looked gorgeous before too, though! I posted before and afters a while back... prepare for the madness of nonstop friend requests! haha
  • I used to eat high fiber oatmeal for breakfast everyday -- and within an hour I'd be starving again! I've switched over to 2 hard boiled eggs, white only (I know the yolk has a lot of nutrients, but I can't handle the texture!) and one slice of whole wheat bread, and a cup of coconut milk. It keeps me full for hours!
  • I'm 5'2", my starting weight was 243 (after gaining 80lbs in a year a FINALLY being diagnosed with Hypothyroidism). Since October of 2010 I've lost almost 60 lbs -- it's been a slow process, but it mostly involved eating prepackaged, frozen meals. I recently started clean eating. I only eat natural, whole foods. I eat 1200…
  • I'm not offended by any words, but I rarely swear!! I think constant swearing makes people sound ignorant. There are so many beautiful, descriptive, appropriate words to be used, why swear!? I wasn't raised in a household with parents who swore, at least not in front of me, so those words have never been part of my…
  • If you wash them, and then dry them REALLY REALLY well, they're not awful. And when I say wash and dry them well, I mean rinse then 4 or 5 time to get that gross smell off, and after washing, press them between paper towels, and then let them sit out for about 15 minutes before cooking with them. I don't think it's really…
  • There's no time or place for a Bud! If I'm gonna drink, I'm drinking something GOOD.

  • I LOVE beer. I'm a total beer snob and only drink craft and local beers... I have far too many favorites to list! I love heavy, dark beer, and Thursday-Sunday I probably drink as many calories as I eat, maybe more... and that's why I have given up drinking! I'm only on day 4 of not drinking, but so far so good.

  • When I stopped drinking soda, I started by drinking carbonated water, mixed with 100% fruit juice. After a while, I started mixing the juice with regular water, then just water alone. Now, I can't stomach the taste of regular soda -- and diet soda isn't that much better.
  • At one point, I had something significant to say, but it was all lost! I was caught up in the dozens of responses complaining about the use of "big words." Intelligent people do not use "big words" to be pompous, or make others look or feel uneducated, they do so because they are intelligent.
  • Thanks. My diet is also mostly plant based, and I think I'm going back to a vegetarian lifestyle (I was a vegetarian a few years ago), but this time doing it RIGHT... you know, with actual vegetables and fruits, instead of junk. It'll probably end up being more of a pescatarian diet though, because I have a major sushi…
  • I made a post like this yesterday! I just want my gym back!!!!
  • I've known a lot of vegetarians who eat nothing but junk. If you cut out meat, but eat a well balanced, healthy diet, I think you'd be thinner... but if you cut out meat but eat more french fries, cookies, potato chips, soda, and other junk, you will obviously gain weight!
