If you go to a gym with Arc Trainers, use one!!! I usually burn 700+ calories in an hour! It's a lot like an elliptical.

I've never eaten a large amount of food though. I ate high fat/high calorie foods. I feel like I'm eating the same amount of food I've always eaten, just different choices. So I guess my problem is just balancing getting more calories, while still making healthy choices.

I don't take any fiber supplements - I take a multivitamin, but it has no fiber. All the fiber is from the foods I eat.

You can stick to your calories/goals if while going out with friends. Unless you've made it abundantly clear to your friend that you CAN'T go out and eat with them, they are probably just trying to be nice. Mine is open -- it's seriously lacking enough calories, but it meets/exceeds my recommended protein and fiber.

My net calories rarely meet even 300! I work out a lot and I can't eat enough to make up for it.

I am also 5'2" and currently wearing a 12 -- when I started I was a size 20!! Can you imagine, 5'2" size 20!!! My goal is also a size 8, but my goal weight is 136. I feel like at 136 I'll be much smaller than an 8!

I think you also need to look at the content of what you're eating. Although 1200 calories is 1200 calories, I think your body would respond better to 1200 well balanced calories, then 1200 calories in twinkies and potato chips.

I have a long list of songs I do cardio to, but my FAVORITE is "Don't Slow Down" by Matt & Kim. I have it placed about 45 minutes into my cardio playlist, so when I start to get tired and I want to quit, I have an upbeat, catchy song yelling "Don't Slow Down" in my ears over and over.

I have the same problem! I usually stick to white wine. 12oz of Guinness only has 126 calories. My friends drink at least 5 nights a week, I don't always drink with them, sometimes I just get water. It's been hard because I'm a total beer snob and it's my favorite beer season!

I've heard that working out in the morning boosts your metabolism, but I'm not sure that there is any truth to that. Obviously working out any time you can is better than not at all though!
