  • Welcome...Portland here. I exercise in the house when it rains or we wear water proof gear. I don't get used to it being from So Cal, but more outdoorsy people love it. You'll do fine. It is one of the cleanest big cities and they are so freaking here that it actually gets annoying to me sometimes...but someone has to do…
  • Kick him to the curb...you should also tell him why in a polite but firm fashion as well. Doctors need to know why they are FIRED just like anyone else. Nutritionist is a great idea...and you are right you do not have to accept being uncomfortable. Keep at it. PS Im totally jealous of you losing weight being preg, im not…
  • Please read my quote in my default photo...You need to actually look at my page to see the whole thing...
  • Totally true. You actually shock yourself. Take that weight and carry up a few stairs...you'll wonder how in the H did I do this before. I have officially lost 40 pounds (today :) and I carried a 20 pound bag upstairs and I couldn't believe I used to lug around twice that weight...my poor heart and my poor knees.
  • I can see it. Don't feel silly posting here. We support each other in our successes no matter how "small"!! You are in the right place and doing great. 7 pounds in 3 weeks is right on target. All of us that have lost bigger numbers had to start somewhere...like 7 pounds. Good job.
  • WHOA Hot stuff...Most of us gained after graduation. WTG!!
  • Agree or tell them your diabetic. They really won't offer after that. LOL. You can totally do this and this is the right place to be. BTW that is a total NSV (Non-Scale Victory) for turning down the crap food.
  • LOL...such tragedy.
  • I would see an Osteopath that does manipulation. They work with the muscles and bones together. They are amazing. It may still be a nerve issue or muscle issue, but you need to see a professional.
  • Mom of 2 boys as well and I gained almost 100 pounds in the last 10 years. It happens, now it just matters what you're going to do about it. You are in the right place and you can totally do it. It takes time, dedication, and lots of water (LOL) but you can do it.
  • WTG on the loss!!
  • Sometimes I pull my knees up to hit the underside of my desk for some ab workout. You can do butt crunches if no one is there (cause you lift up and down...LOL) and you can do inner thigh squeezes and use resistance bands ties around your ankles and to leg extensions to strengthen your quads. You can use the same bands…
  • Ice and heat rotations of 20 minutes and relax that knee do not push it any further til it's better...
  • If I can't involve them, I put them in front of a movie and try my best to explain that I need to do this for me. It is also healthy for them to see you take time to take care of yourself. Keep at it and eventually he will get it.
  • I pick things up with my feet...can't bend over all of the time. You know you're getting fat when you bend over in jeans and lose circulation to your face... :embarassed:
  • If you've lost inches, maybe they just feel large because they are more solid now. I will say that I love having nice thighs. It feels powerful and men LOVE them. <just saying>
  • See an osteopath. I avoid chiropractors for personal reasons, but an osteopath (that does manipulation) is heaven sent. You will never go back and you will heal so much faster. I know this is not an exercise suggestion but one that I live by. Would water exercises help since it makes you virtually weightless...IDK. Good…
  • lie down or lean back in your chair. Start just below your breast bone and rub clockwise all the way down to your pelvic bone and back up. Do several circles and this will make it pass. You may have to go potty, but the aching will stop.
  • Only for stupid androids...gggrrr. I love JO.
  • well native isn't the prob...NEGATIVE is!! You need to explain to them you're not dieting (that's impossible to stick to) but a lifestyle change (and that is possible to stick to). You need to express to them that is it not helping you and if it continues, you may need to remove that from your life. <just saying>
  • WTG...You're going to stun ppl when school gets back in espeially since they haven't seen it happen progressively, with summer break and all.
  • kalamari...(sp?) but can't do that anymore...I would google it.

  • When you stop, try to stop off at grocery stores instead. Most cities have one near the freeway. Plus remember to get out and stretch and get some squats and maybe some jumping jacks in. On the road everyone is trying to move around a bit so no one will really care.
  • I understand that it is waaaaaay harder getting it off than putting it back on. On the other hand, I may hate exercising all the time but I never feel bad after I do so. I usually feel great. You may want to do some soul searching and figure out what you really want. Good luck.
  • Educate 'em Bunny...That's my girl...yes I left the WHOLE post in case anyone missed it...LOL
  • Well Yukon, Difficult to tell with text only...My apologies. There are ppl on here that do behave this way and it is not good advice to share. If Im being sarcastic, it is helpful to add a J/K or something to that affect. You may consider this for next time to avoid this common response. Anywho...a proactive…
  • **DISAGREE** that would be young minded, unprofessional, and not tactful at all...You should do research and present it in a way that is proactive. You are more likely to get a response you are satisfied with. You don't want to make the organizer be defensive. Good luck.
  • Friend: yes you are being a little selfish. Sounds like she is doing what she can for you and she can't stop every aspect of her life for your needs. During your weight loss some ppl will be there and some won't. Some may even be discouraging. You do this for you and you are doing great. She will come around when she is…
  • Well you may be on the john for quite sometime...good luck with that.
