  • Guess I'm in the southern part of Central IL... lol about 45 min south of Spfld
  • I noticed I was doing the same thing until I tried a little mental trick. Instead of thinking of food in reference to meals or snacks I changed my meal descriptions to increments of time. It works for me. Now instead of worrying about the meal I just enter what I eat in the time range I eat it. It may sound crazy but it…
  • Please don't lock yourself away because you are a size or a weight. Life is all about attitude! Work hard at becoming the best YOU you can be, but don't hide away in the mean time. Even the most seemingly beautiful person has their own issues. And if you love yourself and life then making hard changes and sticking to them…
  • Hello All! Kat here.t I'm 48 and just restarted MFP. I'm looking for some positive fun loving people to help me stay accountable and on track. Im a survivor of cancer and am currently really focusing on my health to get back into the workforce and to reclaim myself. I was thrilled to see a 40something group and wish us all…
  • I'm back it myself this week. So CONGRATULATIONS for doing it again. It takes strength to start, no matter how many times you have before or the outcome. Look forward with courage and learn from the past, do not beat yourself up over it. You can do it and feel free to add me if you want moral support. :-)
  • lol, it does seem to be hardest thing to just do it right. I have started and stopped to many times to count. But the truth is and always has been that it's just expending more calories then calories taken in. Good luck & Great Resolve
  • Bump... love this group
  • My goal was to lose a total of 125lbs. I have lost 25 since Jun1st and I feel great. I vowed this time to eat more veggies and less processed food, to journal my food (I got cocky last year and quit, and soon after it all fell apart), exercising at least every other day, and to move whenever I can for as long as I can.
  • this is a great sight! I currently have lost 22 lbs but have over 100 more to go after 7 weeks. The weight has been coming off pretty consistently for me at about 2 or three lbs a week. I am eating around 1200 to 1400 calories a day depending on how much exercise I am doing. I should have measured myself before i started…
  • Thanks for explaining that so clearly. I was wondering the same thing.
  • This is the start of my third week and am loving it! The people here are supportive and the tools are fabulous. I love going in and creating recipes and your own meals. That alone is a God send especially when I don't want to stress about what to make. It is great to just go look at one of the old stand by's. Good Luck and…
  • Thanks Everyone!!!! It is so nice to have so many encouraging people chime in! I wish you all great strength for all you have given me!
  • Congratulations!
  • I've never tried a challenge before so I am looking forward to starting in March. I figure if I can do at least 2 miles a day minimum then it will be a great start. I am going to try to walk a little more as I go but I don't want to shoot for the moon and then feel guilty that I didn't reach the goal. This one I can do…

  • Welcome aboard Bryan! I'm on day two and I love the food tracker and the exercise tracker for helping me stay honest. But I love this message board for the emotional support. I wish you good luck!
  • Thanks so much for the support right off the bat. I didn't realize there was so much amazing support out there.
  • Thanks for responding and for the offer of support, I wish you all the luck too. I will add you just as soon as I figure out how....lol
