At least you know that the gain isn't due to falling off the wagon. I'm afraid it's going to be a case of taking it on the chin and starting again. At least you're not itching anymore. I have eczema and know how dire it can be. Are you taking any anti histamines?

It's so hard when something like that happens. Are you still on the steroids?
-
That's brilliant.

I have to admit to feeling smug when I have to pull up my jeans lol
-
Are you getting minced steak or minced meat? If minced meat it could have offal in it which would affect the flavour and smell.
-
You've taken the first step to getting back on track by recognising you need to go back to healthy eating.
-
Hi. You've come to the right place. I've had so much support from the lovely people here.
-
Don't beat yourself up it. You're only human. It's hard to eat healthily all the time because we're bombarded with adverts, sounds, sights and smells aimed at trying to make us eat things we don't want. You've reached the point when you know you need to do something to stop the unhealthy eating. That's the first step. I'm…

When you put it that way I feel even better about my weight loss :)

wtg...congratulations

I can't use the meal system properly so I worked out my recipes the entered them into the list as homemade beef casserole, spag bol, chicken curry etc.

I had it at Cbristmas. Took 3 to 4 weeks before I felt OK again. Don't push yourself too hard. You have a tiring job both at work and at home. Listen to your body, sleep when you need to sleep even if that means going to bed at the same time as your children and don't push yourself to do too much exercise.

Thanks everyone. I knew you'd understand and feel happy for me. I have noticed one thing.....my jeans have started to fall down. I'll have to get a belt :)

I love 'Aim for Progress Not Perfection'. That's going to be my new mantra.
-
Just concentrate on one day at a time and remember if you have the odd bad day it won't stop you losing weight in the long run as long as you have more good days. No one is perfect.

Do you have lots of snacks in the house for the children? If you have to have them then buy things you don't like. I hate dark chocolate but my stepson loves it so his treat is a Bournville. Try the low cal cereal bars. If you're in the UK then Aldi do some. 67 calories per bar so not too bad if you feel the need to eat…

Do you like minced beef? Is it ground beef in the USA? I'm not sure where you are. If you do then you can make lots of disguised veg meals with it. Do you like pulses? What about tomatoes? If you like those then I can give you a spag bol recipe so you can still eat pasta? Do you like curry? If so you can disguise veg…

Eating your way through stress is quite normal for some of us. It's a nuisance but it's the way we work. Don't beat yourself up about it. You've made the first move to get back on track. Good luck.

I weigh myself officially every Saturday but I can't resist a quickie around Wednesday. I force myself not to do it more often.
-
Still miserable in the UK. Damp and cold but at least the wind has died down and the floods are subsiding. We stayed dry, thank goodness.

Mark it down to experience and start afresh today.

I drink black coffee all the time. I use it to take the edge off my appetite when I'm in snacking/craving mode but I think the volume of liquid in my stomach makes the difference not the coffee. It sounds like your friend is grasping at straws. You have put a lot of hard work into losing weight. She wants an easy option…

I was just told to lose weight rather than eat/not eat any specific foods.
-
If it's true then that make sex even better :D
-
No one seems to have noticed the weight loss yet but my jeans now fall down if I don't wear a belt so I guess I'm doing something right :D
-
Eat whichever way suits you best. I like three 'proper' meals a day but I know other people but my daughter is a grazer. Just watch your calories and make sure you're getting the right mixture of foods whichever way you choose.
-
Are you binging on anything specific? Sometimes your body craves something it needs.

I cracked it with one person this weekend. When cake was mentioned I said that I'd lost 34lbs up to now and I felt that I was on on a roll. I wasn't missing cakes etc. at all but that I knew that if I ate one piece I'd want more. This particular person has the same problem...one is never enough....so understood and stopped…

I'd never heard the term 'volume eater' until I read the OP. What a brilliant description of how I eat. I like to feel full (not overfull) and have found the way to that is lots of fruit and veg. If I feel full it's easier to fight cravings and I rarely feel like snacking.
