  • Nope. You did not gain that in 2 months and there's no way you're going to lose it in 2 months either.

  • I don't really plan meals, I just eat whatever I've got in my fridge or cupboard that fits in my calories for the day. If that means I have a pork chop for breakfast or eggs for dinner, then there it is.
  • Yeah you're not always going to get pats on the back for everything. And there's one thing I've definitely learned is that SOME people generally are uncomfortable with others who they see as somewhat successful because it reminds them of their own inadequacies. So they'll pat you on the back when you're working towards…
  • I see this as a much larger picture actually - the gradual dumbing down of society to keep them uninformed, afraid, and more easily led and open to suggestion. It's much easier to fool people who are uninformed. For example, the diet shake industry certainly would prefer people not know that losing weight is as easy as…
  • I don't mean to be the lone negative voice here but it looks like there's a different filter or something on the camera. The 1st picture looks greenish while the other is warmer and softer. Drinking water is great and definitely most people are probably dehydrated, but I'm personally not buying the effects of this…
  • So... you eat bad because he does. That's what I got out of that. Is that correct? If so - this is on you. I don't mean to sound harsh but - don't blame him because you can't say no.
  • Clothing sizes make no sense and you can't go by them at all. At my most slender, I was around 135 pounds, wearing a size 2 in shorts, a size 4 in jeans (some were a 2, depending on the brand), a size 4 in my business suit pants and a size 8 in the business jacket. Some of my t-shirts are a medium and a little tight and…
  • You can start by not calling yourself names.
  • I weigh about 140 and am 10 years old that you are and I eat more than 1,300 a day. You definitely should be too, otherwise, as someone already said, you'll crash and burn. My guesstimate is that you could eat close to 2900 calories a day and still lose about 2 pounds a week. I used this free calculator to help me lose 50…
  • The thing is you will lose weight, but you have to go back to eating normal food at some point. So you really do need to learn portion control.
  • Chiropractors are not real doctors.
  • I highlighted your problem. Real change comes from a lifestyle change and changing your habits, not a diet. I'm posting the link to a calorie count calculator that I used to lose 50+ pounds. It works, but only if you accept the responsibility to use it and then weigh and log your food intake every. single. day.…
  • Think about logically. If all you had to do to lose some weight was to drink some apple cider vinegar - do you think there would be any overweight people?
  • I eat plenty of fat and I still have the same problem, even on days when I'm reaching my fiber goal, so I mix in some wheat bran into some yogurt or cottage cheese every day. I'm not certain why wheat bran but I think it's because it's the insoluble fiber as compared to the soluble sort. Anyway it works for me so that's…
  • That this was fairly easy and I should have done it long ago.
  • I went searching for chocolate after reading this. Apparently Ecuador has great chocolate. Now I gotta find out where I can find it. Pancreas be damned.
  • My pancreas is frightened.
  • Someone will chime in I'm sure but eating "clean" means absolutely nothing at all. You can eat complete crap and still lose weight. It's ultimately all about how many calories you take in. I eat packaged foods every day - it's not ALL of my diet, obviously, but I don't have time to grow my own food, milk the cows, slop the…
  • I think a lot of people lack the ability to think critically and they don't have the ability to recognize a grifter when they see one.
  • Yeah I remember being made fun of too by my peers around that age. Twenty something years later and Karma tends to catch up.
  • Morningstar used to make my favorite thing ever the Baha blackbean pizza. I'm not a vegetarian but I was hooked on those and sad that they've apparently discontinued it. :(
  • Here ya go, use this calculator to help you out. It helped me lose 50 pounds. http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ Then go get yourself a food scale and weigh and measure everything and log it daily. Guaranteed if you do these both you will achieve your goal.
  • I don't know, I'm 45 and it's not all that hard. For me, it's been accepting that my body isn't going to look like I would LIKE and accepting the best it can be.
  • Yeah you go by the color of your urine. If it's a light yellow color you're good. I drink maybe a total of 4-5 cups of water, then I have like 2-3 cups of tea a day. For a normal day, that's plenty. If it's hot outside, I usually bump that up to 6-7 cups of water, but it depends on how active I am.
  • Elevated blood sugar can cause the eye lens to swell so can affect your vision.
  • I agree with the idea of seeing either a physical therapist or even a personal trainer who is experienced in working with an older population.
  • Jeebus NO don't do this - cracking your back has nothing at all to do with your posture and you could seriously injure yourself by letting some completely untrained person mess around with your spinal cord!! Cripes on a cracker, ugh, just no no no.
  • There's no way on earth I would cut sugar from my coffee. Blech. Nothing is worse than plain old black coffee. I do count it and keep it at a minimum of two tablespoons a day, with two tablespoons of plain half/half. Like said above, you don't have to cut sugar completely. You just have to count it. I lost 50+ without…
  • I lost 50+ and didn't cut anything out. I eat chocolate every day (or just about every day, anyway), I eat meat, bread, dairy, butter, etc., and have sugar with my coffee every day. What has enabled me to lose the weight is calorie counting. I have a food scale that I use every day for absolutely everything. I reference…
