  • Just a personal experience from someone who loves to lift heavy and run.. I ALWAYS gain weight when training for endurance runs--either half marathons or full marathons. I lift about 5 days a week while also training for my runs and watch my calories. Doesn't matter, I still gain weight. It might be hormonal, I'm really…

  • Thanks... I just started running back in August with a 10K training group and then went right into half training. I never thought a half would be something I could do. I just didn't think it was possible, so it's pretty cool to prove myself wrong and do it. Good luck on yours, it is definitely an experience!
  • I love this!! Sometimes when you don't even want to face the calories but make yourself log anyways it does more to help then hinder. Yeah, maybe you went over, but you know you can make up for it during the rest of the week. Also, don't stop counting once you have lost the weight! I lost 40lbs and didn't think I needed…
  • I think most people using MFP pack and bring a lunch everyday in order to avoid the same thing you are trying to avoid, so I don't think having to bring something different everyday is a deal breaker. Even if you can't leave your things overnight, packing a lunch the night before shouldn't be too difficult-- what I have…
  • I'm with the others, is there more going on here? It is my understanding that being pescatarian is a choice. If they work around that as you mentioned, will they not work around healthier options? If not, packing before hand is your best option
  • I am wondering as well so would love to see some answers. Just recently, I switched my numbers around to 40% carbs, 40% protein, and 20% fats. I recently talked to a friend of mine who works at a supplement store and said that I needed more protein than what I was getting before. Over the last week, I have tried adding…
  • Awesome job!! You look great!
  • Body Pump and Spin at Gold's.. burned about 1400 calories. Commitment Day 5k (St Louis) in the morning :)
  • I'm Lauren and I'm 23. I lost about 40 lbs a year ago and gained it all back since working in a brewery/restaurant. I know the snacking on fries while at work is a problem but I also know the free shift beer I get after hasn't helped either! Especially since one IPA isn't always enough. I want to quit drinking and stay…
  • I work 2 jobs--about 40 hours a week total and go to school (only 10 hours a week right now, but usually 18 when not in summer). I just got back into this so I know how hard it can be to find the time. After taking almost a year off of working out, I decided to MAKE the time. I do a kettlebell bootcamp Monday-Thursday 6am,…
  • I was leaning towards something with peanut butter... I'm goin for it..thanks guys!

  • I agree that this requires a lifestyle change. However, I don't necessarily agree that pills are a gimmick or only promote a quick weight loss that will fade quick. When I started this journey I took pills to jumpstart my loss. I also completely changed my lifestyle and have not gained any weight back. It all depends on…
  • You look awesome!! Great job!
  • Completely agree! I don't know if I'm missing something or what but I feel like points and calories are synonymous. Counting calories and looking at what I eat on here works good enough for me!
  • Perfect way to put it!
  • Interested to see what people say. I agree with you that I just feel like even if you do the diet properly you will gain weight back after returning to a proper diet. I don't feel that this could be healthy by any means. I think everyone knows deep down that a healthy diet (of enough but not too much calories and…
  • Have the same problem..have not found a thing that helps! I hate it because it is somewhat embarrassing to me...would love to see if anyone has suggestions.
  • Why don't you set your weight loss goal to 2 lbs a week? Also if you enter your exercise calories on here your allotted calories will increase too and you can keep everything in one place. I never eat all of my exercise calories back so you can still remain close to your 1300 that you want to eat! Just check your food…
  • Awesome story!! Right after I turned 21, I had a cervical cancer scare but after further tests they found that I did not. I still go in 4 times a year for check ups, but it is definitely a relief! I started at 215 and am down 30...would love to be friends! :)
  • I'm in! I am an elementary ed major set to graduate next December. I'm taking 12 hours of summer classes and on Tuesdays and Thursdays they all run together..making eating healthy difficult! I hate having to plan meals to scarf down in the 15 minute breaks.
  • I have the same issue this summer with summer classes. I agree I don't want to bring a lunchbag with a full on lunch or anything and the vending machine really isn't an option! I usually bring 1-1.5 ounces of almonds with me for a morning snack (very filling and very good for you). During my second break, I tend to either…
  • Please use self control on the chips!! I had Mexican last friday---quesadilla fajita/rice/beans you name it. On top of that I probably ate 3 baskets of chips.....it is the most I cheated since starting this and I gotta tell you it wasn't worth it! GOOD LUCK!
  • I have the same problem too! Definitely looking forward to these answers...
  • Love the bagel thins! I have one every morning with weight watchers whipped cream cheese (only 30 cals per tablespoon). Nice and filling, I don't think i could even finish a whole, thick bagel anymore. I also usually have 1 or 2 soft boiled eggs with it!
  • Totally agree! And I'd much rather be addicted to this than facebook..as you said, a lot more inspiration here!
