I did take some pics I think after my second SL workout. I'll probably take some more in a few weeks. I'm also looking for a piece of clothing to use as a "measurement" - kind of a dream piece. Tape measurements don't seem that accurate to me unless you have someone else take them who takes them at the same place each…

Sorry - haven't been on the forums for a bit, so didn't know there were more replies. I've gotten much better figuring out the app and making it work for me. :) I also bought some 2" flat washers to make weight increases more incremental. I have a really hard time cutting out cardio - I enjoy my walks way too much.…

Perfect! Thank you!

I will definitely ask at the gym tomorrow about lighter bars!
-
Thanks. I have been doing a lot of reading/watching videos. It's just so different when you're actually *there* in the gym. When I was doing the barbell lifts on Friday, I totally blanked on how to do them. So I asked the guy next to me :) (I've done dumbbell ones numerous times, but never barbel ones ...)
-
Ok, I will look again on Wednesday to see if I can find the inbetween bars.
-
Thanks! I will have to ask/look about that!
-
Thanks 3dogsrunning. I'll keep looking for how to do it. Arditarose - Thanks - I didn't see any fixed weight barbells that were in between decades. There doesn't seem to be too many women who use the weight lifting area (the gym has all the machines pretty much upstairs in a separate area.)
-
Thanks. I figured out how to adjust the increments, but I don't see how to adjust the starting weights? Also, I couldn't figure out how to tell it that I couldn't complete a set?

One of my main reasons to lose weight is to increase my chances of having a baby. I'm 38 and need to lose about 20lbs to be "overweight." 55lbs would put me at the top of the "healthy" range. My bf and I have been trying for 8 months now - although at the moment we are long-distance, so that adds another crimp to it. He's…

MFP - tracking calories/measurements RunKeeper - tracking walks and other exercises GymPact - earning money for exercising My Weight - tracking my weight/graphing Walgreen's Balance Rewards - Fitbit connects to it, and earn rewards points for steps Achievemint.com -- website where I have all my fitness apps linked, as well…

Thanks :) I'll keep trying.

Walgreen's has an activity program where you earn points for logging your weight and exercise. Those points translate into Balance Rewards which translate into cash. I have almost $10 in rewards, although am not sure how to redeem them. :)

I'm 5'9 and down 15 lbs total from my highest weight (which I was at in late August.) So far no comments, and I can't really see the difference except in one nightie. Other times when I started at a similar weight, it took around 25 - 30 lbs before anyone noticed a difference. So I expect it'll be similar this time.

My bf is a pizza delivery driver ... and some of the stories he's told me. Wow. He's just happy when the person actually *opens* the door and hasn't passed out before he gets there. One of his favorite places to deliver to is a stripclub ... they always give great tips (monetary!) The place he hates delivering to is the…

I have a Ninja blender which I *love*!! I've had it for about three years, and have used it a LOT. It pulverizes anything I throw in there (including spinach!)

The closest thing that I know of to what you're looking for is diptic. (iPhone, not sure if android.)

i'm going to make it for the Round 1 goal, and have a bit less than 6 lbs to go for the Round 2 goal. That one is going to be more difficult because WI in a few days after I fly back from visiting my boyfriend for a week and a half ... I'm going to try to lose as much as possible *before* going on vacation.)
-
I'd like to lose 6lbs and be able to do 5x5 knee pushups without stopping (except between sets.)

My long distance boyfriend was meeting my parents for the first time - at a small family get together for my dad's birthday. I made a special dish - cottage cheese roast. I didn't have any regular Special K cereal on hand, so thought that I could use an almond flavored version just as well. Yeah, not so much. Ten years…

I was out doing some shopping today and happened to look at my driver's license. I am now a bit more than 3lbs less than the weight on my license! :)

I'm 37, in a relationship, but no kids. I definitely understand the feeling of being a "third wheel" and getting "the look" when people hear you don't have children. Of course it was even worse when I wasn't in a relationship ... I do hope to maybe have a child still.

I've been overweight/obese for all of my adult life. The last time I was in the overweight category was ten years ago ... Most recently I had three "moments" that spurred me back into trying again. 1. My dad dying at 68 of a heart attack/complications 2. Getting back together with an old bf, and our desire to have a child…

My immediate goal is to keep consistent with my exercise routine and eating habits -- but then also not beat myself up if I misstep. Also, my bf is coming for a few days this coming week ... so that will be a real challenge to eat well and do my exercise while he's here.
-
Thank you! Yes, that does make sense. I don't have a HRM right now (though I might get one depending on what/if money for birthday/Christmas.) I'm not terribly consistent with my exercise, although I'm really working on that. I had been only doing cardio (walking) for my exercise for the last 18 months (inconsistently 3 -…

I can't find them now (of course!) One of them was Bigelow (I think) but when I relooked it up, I couldn't find the same one. Thank you everyone for your ideas! I'll be going into Walmart probably on Friday, so will take a look at the Great Value one.
-
I'll have to look into that. re: Starbucks --- the closet one to me is 40 miles away inside a Safeway. :)
-
No, I was looking at tea bags.
-
Thank you both!
