Is there anything over the counter that works. Just short term, not looking for anything long term. Thought it might help me with getting started.

UPDATE: It's now been over a year since I started my weight loss journey and 6 months since I met my 60 lb weight loss goal. I'm still maintaining and I feel so WONDERFUL! For those who think you can't maintain after losing quickly, I am PROOF that this is not the case. I now eat about 1650 calories a day, exercise EVERY.…

I already use a kitchen scale and measuring cups, spoons, etc to make sure that I don't overestimate food amounts. I'll try the idea of lowering my carbs, as I currently eat about 50% of my calories each day from carbs. Think I'll try to get in more protein instead of all of my delicious carbs and see if that helps. I'll…

Almost every day I have a protein bar and a Diet Coke for breakfast on my drive to work. I also usually eat nuts at some point in the day. And of course, I have my IdealShake and 2 slices of toast with peanut butter just about every night for supper. Eating a lot of the same foods everyday helps keep me on track. Other…

I wonder if the rush of sugar to your system is causing it? I drank juice 2 mornings this week and on those 2 days I was much hungrier. And guess what? It was CRANBERRY/grape juice!

I used to ONLY drink Cokes (that's soda or pop for all of you non-southerners - LOL). I would only drink maybe 1/2 glass of water a day!! I used to HATE the taste of water. It took me almost 2 weeks on my diet before I even liked drinking water. I was drinking 4 - 5 NON-diet Cokes or Pepsis every day!!!!! Now I don't keep…

Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card, 11/22/63 by Stephen King, Timeline by Michael Crichton We read 11/22/63 in my book club this past summer. Great discussion! We're going to be reading Ender's Game soon, though I've read it many times. I love to have book discussions to hear other people's take on the same book. Oh, and The…

I sent you a friend request. Your posts are great! I'm 5'2" and am down 7 pounds (just starting) from 190 to 183. Run? Oh gawd, no! I've just started walking. Maybe I'll get there...one day. Here are the things I'm sick of with being obese: 1. Back fat 2. Jiggly thighs that touch when walking - ewww! 3. Having to put my…

Thanks, Hopeinmn! I've sent you a friend request. I lost weight with WW before the points system, but when I was a WW leader, I taught that program. I don't like that there are "free" foods, because they of course have calories and with WW, they go uncounted!! I'm aiming for 1200-1500 calories a day. I've been able to cut…
