I saw monk fruit the other day at the health food store but didn't know anything about it. Hmmm...might try it. I kept thinking it might taste like an actual piece of fruit :smile:

I haven't tried Xylitol but I have heard it's the best as far as "healthy" I am going to buy some soon. I like both Stevia in the Raw and Splenda.

I am doing a 5 day cleanse/fast with 3 of my co-workers. It's been tough but we are on day 4 so only one more day to go! We are taking supplements and fiber by Natures Secret. Lots of hot tea (no sweeteners) and a ton of water. Only reason my hubby disapproves is I have been very moody and irritable, lol So far down 3-4…

Oh I made the zucchini noodle lasagna once and my son and hubby liked it. And my son is super picky! I'll have to make it again...thanks for the reminder. What pasta or tomato sauce have you or anyone else found that is lowest in carbs?

Oh ok Thanks. I have made them and didn't know they were called that! I love spaghetti squash the most for pasta replacements. But also as a side dish with butter and parm...yummy. And I also think the shirataki noodles are so gross...yuck. Odd texture and taste IMO.

What are Zoodles? I LOVE mashed cauilflower! I made sheppherds pie and my hubby and kids had no clue it wasn't potatoes. I really whip them good and add cheese butter and heavy cream....delicious! And the pizza crust is good but it is a lot of work! I might try the zucchini one. I love making cheese "crackers" on parchment…

This is great info. Have you heard of Dr. Berg? A lot of what you are saying he talks about. I get heartburn too....but usually only when I drink wine :-( I drink Braggs apple cider vinegar 3 times a day with water before meals. It's very good for you! Mine heartburn is getting better.

Same here. I just feel yuck. Trying to get back on plan. Started an egg fast but crapped out last night. Today I am serious. I am tired of having stomach pains, bloated, tired and lazy! And of course the scale being up :-( I think we have all learned a lesson :smile: !!

I just make my egg meals and egg or cheese snacks and make them something easy, like a sandwich or pizza or they have leftovers (we always seem to have leftovers in our house! lol Or hubby will make himself something. Do you mean the Alfredo? I haven't tried it yet but I did buy everything to make it! Maybe I will tonight. I did make the buffalo omelet with blue cheese...that is good! Snickerdoodle crepes...they were ok. Good for a sweet craving but not my favorite.

That is great! I though I would be sick of them too but I am not. I made another batch of hardboiled eggs last night to have on hand for snacks and egg salad. I still had a cheese egg omelet for breakfast today. I am so glad it's working for you also!

Yes....I read to be careful when going off to slowly add back more carbs or you can gain it back. I am now doing eggs still for breakfast and maybe one for a snack and low carb chili for lunch, half avocado for snack and maybe a meat (wings) and a fat (ranch dressing) for dinner.
