Healthier meals take more time to make in my opinion (cutting and using more veggies, begin creative with spices and flavors)....it's really just an excuse. I can do it.. I've got so lazy! It is also harder when my son and fiance don't like a lot of the better foods I should be cooking and eating so I'll end up making 2…

From what I have heard they do teach you a healthy portion controlled way to eat. And the one distributor I know told me not everyone uses the shakes either. It's a lot of vitamins and healthy products (I don't know all the details) I may try it I may not. For this week at least i am going to try to make some small changes…

Yes...I mean alcohol.You are right about this. I am cutting back like NOW. I lose all motivation when i have a drink. And that is a big part of it. I know it's a depressant. I am starting this today! My fiancé has been so I am going to join him and you all. He drinks green tea in place at night instead of a glass of wine or a beer....which would ALWAYS lead to us eating too much or foods we shouldn't be eating at all!

I would make a salad with lite dressing and lots of veggies....baby spinach,iceburg, tomatoes, onion, some fat free cheese, broccoli,cucumbers.....etc Maybe a little chicken breast for protein but not enough to go over calories.

Lots of water and gum. Or I figure my meals to be able to have calories for snacks. Always something small and low in calories.

Thank you so much! I will do this when I get home. I can't install Google Chrome on this computer. And yes...I LOVE crab. My fiancé brings home King crab legs every couple weeks...yum!

Thank you....I used this one yesterday. I think I'm set correctly: 10% carbs 20%Protein 70%fat I am not eating the total carbs because it gives me 33grams. Trying to stay 20-25 or lower. The only other percentage to choose was 5% and that gave me a much lower crab count to eat, 18 I think. But actually maybe I'll change it…

I thought so too because chic peas do have a lot of carbs....but the one I had today was 4 carbs for 2 tablespoons. Not bad with plain pork rinds :smile:

Thank you...yes I know my carbs should be lower. It just seems like cutting sugar, bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, fruits and whatever else I can't think at the moment, I'd at least lose some. I guess I need to give it more time and really be diligent making sure I really am at LEAST under 40. Then like you said lower maybe…

I have such a hard time going that low....I'm usually between 30-50! Maybe I need to at least try :-)

Maybe it has to be that I only have 10-12 pounds to lose so I need to lower my calorie intake also. I was around 1500calories per day but just changed my goals to 1300 calories. Which will be hard to do considering you are supposed to eat so many fats!

Also I drink a ton of water....usually over the 8 glasses "rule" I probably need to exercise more but even so I feel like I should be losing and not staying the same or gaining. My diary is open if anyone has nothing better to do ;-)
