  • My job offers a lot of cardio classes to the public. I've been loving the kickboxing and Zumba classes. I'm not a big fan of just running on a treadmill/elliptical either. I prefer to be dancing or moving all over the place.
  • I'm supposed to be hitting around 1200 calories, too, according to MFP. I think that is if you literally sit on your *kitten* all day without doing anything. Obviously, any kind of walking, etc is going to allow for more calories.
  • I do mine with canned salmon instead. :)
  • I have high anxiety. I do yoga for mind and body. I feel very refreshed mentally and physically during and for quite a while afterwords. Exercise of any kind (even a short walk) can get those endorphins (the feel good hormone) running around your brain. When I start feeling crummy, I try to do even just 10 minutes of yoga.…
  • I have back issues and have been told several times now that I need to workout nearly every day to keep from being in constant pain. As the arthritis commercial says, a body in motion, stays in motion.

  • I work 3rd shift. Snacking is a way for me to keep awake most nights. A lot of nights it includes a lot of junk/high calorie foods.
  • I too am a bread lover, but just keep in mind that too much bread can also raise your A1C a lot. I don't know about you, but being forced to diet because of diabetes doesn't sound like much fun. I try to keep that in mind when I'm reaching for those extra dinner rolls, biscuits, slice of bread, etc.
  • I seem to be addicted as well. Boredom, stress. A lot of the times its just because its there. I've been eating a lot more the last few days. At least some of it I attribute to hormones. (I don't have periods, but I still PMS fiercely). I'm definitely in with the chocolate (and ice cream) crowd. I've been making myself be…
  • I'm 5'2" (and a half :P) and weigh 173lbs. I'm aiming for 125lbs in the long run. I felt and looked my best around 125lbs just a few years ago.
  • I just keep reminding myself that tomorrow is a new day. Throwing some exercise in helps me feel a little better. I blame my bad days on PMS :P
  • I only put 1 pound a day and I am in the same boat. I think it means if you don't exercise/move whatsoever, you should only have 1200 calories in a day. Realistically, exercising essentially lets you eat more calories without having to worry about them.
  • Eating a huge portion of something that I know is chock-full of completely empty calories. And then regretting it about 5 minutes after I'm done. PMS does this to me horribly some months.
  • I have 2 words for why: Valentine's Day. The chocolate was too overpowering lol
  • If you have an Amazon Prime account, they have several yoga videos for free that you can view on their website. Or they have some that you can rent for fairly cheap.

  • My kids are actually all veggie lovers, I just didn't want to start getting drastic diet plans with "weird" foods, or what-have-you. I definitely see the pros of adding lots of veggies in though. My husband is the biggest carnivore I have ever met and its hard to make meals without (or with little) meat involved.
  • Any thoughts/success on flexitarian diet? Started reading into it and not sure if I want to buy the book or not.
  • I am the same height as you, but I have a bit more weight I am looking to shed. I am trying to go from 170 down to 125. I am willing to settle between 140 and 130 though. I am 24. It would be nice to get some perspective. :)
  • My name is Meghan. I am 24 and I have a 7 month old daughter as well as 2 stepsons, ages 4 and 5. Before I met my fiance, I had gotten myself down to 125 without trying because when I lived with my ex, I had way better habits (i.e. seldomly ate out, snacked on fruit, ate lots of protein during the day, walked a lot, worked…

  • I work overnights, so I totally understand (especially with all the goodies that I have access to while at work). I try and grab lower calorie cereals, fruit, vegetables, and yogurt when I feel like I really have to have something to eat. Even on my nights off, cereal is my go to. It gives me a crunch and some calcium to…
  • Typically up to 30 minutes at a time, sometime more, sometimes less and usually more than one time a day. The only way I can clean is if I strap her on :/ I may have to invest in a pedometer...I never thought of that lol
  • I'm 24 and looking to lose at least 45 pounds. I just started. The pregnancy weight has been tough to get rid of, so here I am :).
  • Are you sure you aren't putting your body into starvation mode? That's not nearly enough net calories to function.
  • I'm 24 and from Kansas.
