How did you set your calorie goal and how far did you walk every day? I'm trying to set some walking goals.

Everyone still in the GCC?

How's everyone going? It rained here a bit last week and over the weekend which slowed things down a little bit :-(

We are # 3,054 as of today but I have a feeling that may have to do with the fact that we report almost a full day ahead of everyone else. Because my team is averaging 13,085 a day and I know there are other teams ahead of us. You can also sort by country so in that case we are # 6 in Japan and #2 in Japan Healthcare…

Hi Honeytips. I need the address your registered GCC with but I haven't received and email from you. I will send you a friend request, in case that makes a difference as to if I get the mail or not??

Keep it up!! I've been aiming for 12k steps a day because I think the device over estimates, but I've only gone over 12k but I've only made it over 12k 3 or 4 times. Yesterday and today were 14k and 15k so I think I have figured out what I need to walk to hit it. I've been walking home from work.

Great!! I set the mini-league up just now so as soon as anyone PMs me their email address I will send out invites (Angel I sent yours). Yeah, I'm a bit disappointed with my work group as well. One person didn't even use it the first day and the others have to be hounded to log their steps! I saw some guy in the UK did over…

Are you planning to follow a particular program during the 12 weeks?

I'm in Tokyo so we started today. I think the step counter over estimates because it logged 52 steps from my bed to the shower. I'm little Tokyo apartment isn't that big!!! Therefore I have set my daily goal to 12,00 steps instead of 10,000. They have a way to start a mini league. If you guys want to PM me your email…

ME!! It starts tomorrow. This is the first year my company has done it.

Yep, me. I'm 40 and I have about 50 to lose but I'd settle for 40 to start with. My schedule is pretty tight right now but I usually manage to play squash about 3 times a week. BUT I will make a commitment to add weight training to that at least 2 times per week. (Just FYI I'm in another time zone.... if that's an issue).

Found this online. Very motivating to get you started... How many steps do I need to take to lose weight? The average person has a stride that is 2.5 feet long. Using this stride length, there are roughly 1,500 steps in the average person’s mile. Each mile that a person walks burns roughly 100 calories. If a person was to…

I've been using the strap that it came with and the suggested settings and I am very happy with it. I haven't needed to purchase the alternate strap and plenty of other people at my gym are using the one it came with as well. I may buy the other one when this one wears out but for now I'm happy.

You have the best of reasons to drive you to success but that doesn't mean it won't be hard work. I second the suggestion of the link by a previous poster (re-posted below). It's a great way to get started! Best of luck! I'm pulling for you.…

Thanks. I've been using it for a couple of months with the strap it came with and it's working great. I'm big busted so I've been securing it under "the girls" which seems to keep it in place. My only complaint is the the band is wearing out a bit around the hook but the readings are great.

Yep! Sure have. two years ago I did an intense 90 day fitness program with daily work outs, no processed foods, no salt and no booze. The program was done as a group, which really helped because you can always support each other. One of the things the group leader warned about was that you will be surprised by the people…
