In addition to tracking sodium, take a look at sugur intake. A friend of mine needs to limit her sugar and carb intake, and can do lots of protien. I find if I eat too much fruit I get stuck. Everyone's different, so you need to figure out where your stuck. Good luck!

I do not.

It's not that bad, if you prepare yourself. Definately have salad and lots of other healthy veggies (hopefully not soaked in butter/oils). Go for what ever meat you enjoy, cut off the fat. And definately have ONE dessert. It'll be okay to have a little bit of your favorite "unhealthly" thing - just don't over do it.

Welcome and good luck! As others have already posted, track every bit and bite of food that you eat and drink. The food database is gigantic and quite complete. Use the tools here online, the "friends" online, and any family, friends, and co-workers around you to help you on your journey. Also, make healthy choices a much…

I take my son's Flintstone's multivitamin just about everyday. I take no other supplements.

Great job!!!!! Keep it up!

Reading others' responses, I thought of one more that's pretty quick: Chicken Pot pies. Need either canned chicken or precooked chicken, canned or frozen veggies of your choice, cream of chicken soup, a bit of shreded cheese (optional) and reduced fat crescent rolls. Combine chicken, veggies, cream of chicken soup and…

You could also try changing the "base" of the standard sandwhich... make a tuna salad wrap, add nuts or cranberry to chicken or ham sandwiches. Pita pizza - place toppings on a whole wheat whole closed pita) and bake... this works with english muffins too.

I find asking for pulic help reivewing food journal when i'm stuck (not losing weight) or are concerned with what i'm eating. It's nice sometimes to hear other's suggestions, then you need to review them and decide what works best for YOU.

As many others have said, continue to give it time. You could review sodium (like another mentioned) and sugar. At the beginning it's a lot of trial and error - seeing what works for your body. Also, switching sometimes to brown rice and whole wheat bread may help you feel fuller longer, therefor lessening the feeling to…

Get a note from a girl for the first time, asking if she is his "gfriend". He's 8. I'm so not ready for that.

For something "hearty" I go wtih Zone Perfect (I like the choc pb) or Cliff - both around 230-250 calories and good protien. For a small snack the small Fiber One or Quaker Oats bars - about 90-100 cals.

Welcome to MFP! I also did WW and reached goal weight and maintained for a while before discovering MFP. I tracked both points and calories too, and finally decided to drop the point thing. I've continued to maintain without a problem. I am still a Lifetime member of WW, so do still go to meetings at least once a month to…

OMG... I'm one of the "most" Americans who's a big baby when it comes to food. I would gag on most of the stuff you all listed before I even picked it up. I definately wouldn't do well on Fear Factor or Survivor! For me, the strangest was frog legs my parents made me try as a kid.

Dill Beef & Noodles - Need: beef roast (lean), whole wheat "egg style" noodles, plain fat free yogurt, dill (dried or fresh). Cooking: Salt & pepper beef and place in crockpot with 1/2 cup water and dill to your liking, cook on low for 5-6 hours. Remove beef and skim fat out of crockpot. Turn crockpot heat to high and add…

Ditto with popcorn (no butter / no salt). I pop from kernels in a skillet wok pan thing. YUM! If I've been really good and need a treat, I do add some butter. My other faves are various fruits, or corn chips with cheese (shredded cheese on top, oven melted).

My daily tea with skim milk and sweet & low Zone Perfect - Nutrition Bar - Chocolate Peanut Butter (My M-F breakfast) Tomatoes & Lettuce (my almost daily basic salad, no dressing) Flintstone Vitamin Lipton - Lipton Iced Tea to Go Natural Lemon Flavor--Sugar Free Boars Head - American Cheese Low Sodium Low Fat

QUOTE: I never ate mine back until I started maintaining....but thats just me. I still don't eat them all back. To each their own. Me too. (How do you do the quote box thing?)

At lot of it is trial and error. It could be what you suspect... too much sugar is preventing you from losing weight. Make sure you're eating whole grains, lean protiens and whole fruits and veggies. I can't view your diary, so it's hard to tell. Everyone is different and you've got to find what works for you. When I eat a…

Weight watchers cheesy egg scramble with hashbrowns (potatoes) and WW cheese, ham and egg. Both are about 230 calories, good protien. Sometimes I add a wheat english muffin / bread, or fruit. Very yummy, believe it or not!

You must feel completly and totally awesome! Great job!

You can friend me. I guess I was too tired, I didn't sing when I read the one post, and it took me three tries to get it.

Well, it's halfway through the month and I had one final "good-bye" soda on 9/2. It's been water, milk, and tea and iced tea (with sugar substitute). It hasn't been too bad, really. Thanks for all the tips and the suggestion for a soda-free Sept.
-
I would guess if you don't add salt, it's probably similar to store bought low sodium broth.
-
I try to stay within 2-3 pounds of my goal weight, though sometimes it goes up 5 and I work to bring it down again. It's a constant maintenance and lifestyle change.
-
Sode free Sept.... I like that. I was going to go every other day, but the past two no-soda days have been OK. Maybe I'll aim for the whole month. It should be a piece of cake after that!

low fat cheeses, any lean meat (chicken, beef, etc), eggs. are you vegitarian/vegan? if so, other could tell you better 'cause i like my meat.
-
Fat on steak, any fungus (mushrooms) or mold (blue cheese), rosemary (they look and taste like pine needles), and cilantro (reminds me of my mom's Zambucca burps... yuck).

Congrats on coming back. Good luck!

LMAO!! Thanks for sharing.
