It's tasty in certain dishes, but it doesn't cause weight loss.

MFP's devs don't read this part of the forum, so your feature request isn't going to be seen by them. But even then, since UA recently sold MFP at a loss to an equity firm, I doubt they have the resources to do more than keep the servers up.

Yes, the tags are a preventative measure against accidental spoilage due to mishandling or equipment failure. Deliberate sabotage at the point of delivery is a different issue, which the FDA and FBI are investigating and may lead to criminal charges. I believe this is a one-off incident, I'm not overly concerned this will…

I believe the carton package for the vaccine vials includes an indicator tag like the in the link below. The tag has a chemical layer that shows gives a visual indication that was exposed to a warmer environment for a set amount of time. The end destination can see the state of the tag and determine if the cold chain was…

Bread crust has the same calories as the rest of the bread. Weigh the portion you are going to eat and that will tell you how many calories you are eating. Maintaining a deficit is how you lose weight. I'd be more concerned about the waste involved in tossing most of a loaf of bread and only eating the crust.

It's really easy! Just jump to the left, and then a step to the right. With your hands on your hips, you bring your knees in tight. But it's the pelvic thrust, that really drives you insane! You might need some audience participation though.

You could use the red color tag, it doesn't mean you should use it.

That's not what the OP was asking. The OP was getting around 50g of sugar, which they estimated 80% of that came from fruit. The 50g of sugar comes to approximately 200 calories which would easily fit in most people's calorie allowances even when losing weight. Literally nobody has stated getting 80% of total calories was…

You may as well ask if your mortgage or rent obligation exists if you don't pay it, see how that works out for you.

Don't insult maggots like that, maggots serve a vital role in the natural world unlike MLM schemes.

The barcode doesn't even read the product name, just the UPC code. MFP just matches the code to a database item when a user scans an unknown code and the app asks then to search for a likely match. The first half of a UPC code is a manufacturer ID, and they assign the second half to their various products. It was never…

The 'cardinal sin' of MFP's crowdsourcing plan was that they made it too permissive initially, and never implemented an effective plan for curating the database and culling bad entries. Wikipedia, probably the best Web 2.0 era crowdsourcing system, went through a pretty similar phase years ago, and they only solved it with…

It's been over seven years, I hope they've figured out how to measure rice by now.

1) The database is vastly populated by user created entries, many of which are inaccurate. You can search for entries using the USDA format such as "Salmon, raw" and compare with that data to validate entries or even create your own. It takes a little extra work up front sometimes. 2) This section of the forum is not…

I did say might. There's at least a higher probability than this section, even if it's only +0.0001%. But yes, MFP's track record for implementing/fixing features in the application is pretty dismal especially since UA took over. But hey, the forum got shiny new badges, there's that.
-
Good idea, but the MFP developers and support staff don't monitor this forum section. There's a suggestions section that might get this more attention.

If you mean one of those body impedance measurement devices, they are notoriously inaccurate. Especially if it's a bathroom scale. Don't worry about day to day fluctuations, it's not accurate enough for that. The best your can use it for is looking at a trend over a relatively longer period of time (say month to month).

Given the bizarre backlash against facemasks in the US recently, I wouldn't be surprised if the same people also refuse to wash their hands because of 'muh freedums!'.

Yes. You can also 'save' calories throughout the week and have more on the weekend, so long as your overall calories meet your weekly target. For example, suppose your daily calorie target is 1600. If you have 1500 Monday through Saturday, you can have 2200 (1600 + 600) on Sunday.

The body impedance measurements for all consumer scales are very inaccurate. It doesn't matter what time of day, or how expensive the scale is, the feature is measuring the electrical resistance through your skin and running that through a function that looks up statistical table value to display. Use this for…
