By whom? 30 minutes of exercise a day isn't quite what you'd call a lot... I swim for 1.5h - 2h a day on average and I'm feeling superb. You're body will tell you when you need to rest.

Cow milk definitely not. It's actually bad for you: Due to it being processed all the good enzymes are destroyed. Also we can't digest several amounts of substances in the milk, so it takes longer to digest. This included lactose. Drink cocos milk or rice milk instead!

The more you exercise, the better. Wasn't hard to figure that out.. haha

Hm, yes you're right indeed. I just read up some articles. I'll edit my first post. Yet still; 800 isn't healthy.

Casein is a slow protein, so is the protein in greek yoghurt.. So I'd suggest eating 500ml (approx 40gr of protein) of greek yoghurt instead of casein protein. Cheaper and healthier! It's better to take a slow protein before bed because it will supply your muscles with amino acids all night long! Whey is perfect post work…

Edited post: See post below. Oh, and welcome! :)

I don't log unless I do real exercise. So I don't log walking, commuting on bicycle (unless it's longer than 1h) etc; barely burns up energy anyways.

Get a fixed gear. Super fun! You can get a good one for real cheap if you want to, or even make your own. Low in maintenance, too. And they go fast! Feel free to contact me if you want some more info. I just got this one, I absolutely love riding it. Easily goes 30km/h on average.

Whey is a fast protein, so take it (pre and) post workout. I'm not sure what soy protein is, but I guess slow, similar to casein? Then you might want to take that before you go to bed. But for that I'd suggest eating greek yoghurt instead.

Good night fatty x

@Jenn (:laugh:): Ye... you're hot.

Oooooooo no.

Oatmeal, quinoa, greek yoghurt, goji, peanut butter, pasta's, nuts Although I would avoid dairy and whole grains; your body can't digest them properly. Especially bread is bad, pasta is OK-ish. Oatmeal on the other hand is great!

Doing sports, drinking beer, play about with girls. Oh and studying, I'm a student, graduating next year and planning on studying for several more years after that. And I'm head of the board candidate of my swimming and water polo association, which means I'll be head of the board next year.

Yes of course! I do that myself, too. Bad translation on my part perhaps, in Dutch we mean by fitness both weight and cardio training) Sergeant Serious. But on a serious side note, and trust me on this one: All the girls I train with look bloody fit.

It's seriously shocking to me people actually consider, or even try, a diet of only 1000 calories a day.
-
I knew the latter two, but a white knight? Couldn't be bothered googling this though. This type of use of language seems a bit too nerdy for me

Why wouldn't she? Swimming is considered the best sport there is. And definitely more fun than fitness. I can tell; I do both.

The following information comes from a nutrition specialist specialized in sports nutrition: She advises quite a lot of top sports people, most of which swimmers. I followed her workshops and seminars. Average people: 0.8gr of protein per kg body weight. Endurance sporters: 1.2-1.4gr of protein per kg body weight. Strength…

Of course not.
