You have a great face shape for a bob cut. Shorter in the back to longer angle to the front. I bet it'd be cute on you!

Yes, absolutely. I have mine set at 1800, but will occasionally go over. And I rarely add extra salt to my foods. But some things you just have to! I use Mrs. Dash a lot.

This is not true. If you are drinking pop/soda, and it contains caffeine - nevermind the fact it has artificial sweeteners - you are taking one step forward and two steps back. Caffeinated or alcoholic beverages increase the chance of dehydration, as they have diuretic effects on the body.

ROFLMAO!!!!

I increased from 1200 to 1700 and wow, what a difference. I find it a bit difficult to consume that many calories. But I am doing it. Today, my numbers came out almost exact to plan. Crazy!

Yes - it's some of what you said in a PM the other day. I do lift - but not very much (weight-wise). I use 5 -8 pound free weights and resistance bands right now.

[/quote] Yes. You can either set up your goal to be your Goal Weight TDEE at sedentary, the add and eat your exercise calories. But if you exercise regularly its just better to not worry about eating back calories. I still log my lifting, I just put that it burned 1 calorie. I was thinking of setting my goal to 1860 but if…

Being diagnosed with PTC (pseudotumor cerebri) - aka swelling in the brain. The first thing the neurologist said was "you should really lose some weight". We always hear that from the doctors, no matter the sickness....but this time it was different. I needed to lose weight to save my eyesight.

OMG - best answer ever! Love it!

OMG - do you all have nothing better to do with your time than to waste this many pages with stupid *kitten*? Seriously. This is not the place for kindergarten antics. Those who don't like it, whatever 'it' may be, can, and should, just take their ball out of the game. Grow up!

What she said!!!!! Amen! Looks like we have the same start/finish goals.

I just don't know where I'm going wrong. I'm exercising like crazy (i.e. I might take the steps instead of the elevator to the second floor), I'm watching what I eat (chicken is good for you, especially KFC chicken), I cut out all my junk foods (this ice cream says sugar free, so I can eat half the container and not…

The RDA for sodium is 2,300 mg, of sodium daily for healthy adults. That is equivalent to about 1 tsp. of salt a day. For certain populations more sensitive to sodium, the RDA is set to only 1,500 mg of sodium per day. Sensitive populations include adults over 50, blacks or those diagnosed with hypertension, diabetes or…

If you're exercising, you are most likely gaining muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat. Keep eating right, exercising and you'll get to goal! Also, only weigh yourself every few days, not every day. And when you do, weigh at the same time (like just before getting in the shower or first thing in the morning.

I plan to always go by what the machine says. And if I'm outside riding a bike, then I refer what the stationary bike might say compared to the mph I'm going, etc. Same with walking outside vs. inside. If I can do a 20 minute mile on the treadmill and I time myself outside, I'm doing roughly the same in and out. The only…

Almost identical to me. I started losing (wasn't trying, though) in December '11 and officially started working out and watching what I eat in April. I'm down 45 now. I have about 50 to go.
