Going on 17 weeks and returning to MFP after a long hiatus as well. I'm wanting to get back to some better eating habits and transition into a healthy post pregnancy weight loss. Good luck on your weight management and in delivering your little one!

I'm in a similar boat, but currently still in the pregnancy phase (23 weeks to go). I hit 175 just prior to pregnancy, and am now using MFP to try to stick to my pregnancy calorie and nutrient targets, then I'm looking to get back down to 145 after the babe is born. Good luck to you on your weight loss journey; I'm pulling…

Hi bama8693 :) I'm also back on MFP after using it off and on for the past few years. I'm currently 16.5 weeks with a little boy and hoping to use MFP to help me balance my food intake over the coming weeks and hopefully avoid gestational diabetes if at all possible. I'm hoping that MFP will help me to hold myself…

Hi, I'm a little late to the party, but I wanted to join in because I'm starting injections next week. Lupron makes me gain weight at an incredibly fast rate, so I'm trying to minimize my gain with diet and exercise. EA, I'll send you a friend request. :) Happy baby making!

I'm trying to minimize weight gain during IVF. I also had my first IVF cycle in August and was shocked by how hard I had to work to keep from gaining at an insane rate on the meds. That cycle wasn't successful, so we did another cycle on it's heels in October that was cancelled before transfer. I still ended up being…

I'm proud of myself for forging ahead through a week of frustration and disappointment in the scale not moving. I kept up my workouts and calorie counting even though it felt like I wasn't getting anywhere. Then finally, this morning, I had 1 less pound on the scale. :)

I'm having the exact same feeling today, and came here looking for the same kind of "hang in there" motivation. I'm 3 weeks in and lost 4 lbs right away, but haven't seen any change since. I'm really frustrated this morning, which made my morning workout a bit torturous. All I have to offer is the sense that you're not…

^^this^^ Sometimes I take even smaller baby steps (... ya know, when I'm being a big baby about it ). First I tell myself that all I have to do is show up at the gym. Then: all I have to do it get on the treadmill. Then: all I have to do is 10 min. By then I'm starting to give in to it, and it switches to: I've…

I sent you a FR. I'm 31 with 2 kids that I gave birth to and 2 that I inherited when I married my dear sweet husband. They range from 3 to 13. I wasn't good at losing the baby weight until each of them were about 18 months old, and I'm currently in a relapse after losing the baby weight from the youngest. My ultimate goal…

Exactly 12 weeks ago I was in the OR having major back surgery. I could only shuffle sideways the first day, and it took me 3 days, a nurse and a walker to be able to shuffle from my bed to the bathroom. Two weeks ago I did a 5K, and my daily workout now consists of walking 1-2 miles and doing 30 minutes of cycling. I…

For what it's worth, I had a microdiscectomy (L3/L4) in mid-August and am tapering off of physical therapy now. I added cardio workouts last week walking 1.5 miles per day and doing an interval program on the recumbent bike. I love the recumbent bike because it really kicks up my heart rate without putting any strain on my…

I had surgery on the disc between my L3/L4 in August and have recently started cardio workouts following 6 weeks of physical therapy. I find that I have the greatest heart rate increase with no back pain on the recumbent bike. Even in comparison to the treadmill, this is much easier on my back. I use the weight loss…
