Brilliant thread, only had chance to have a quick look as I'm in work but will have a proper look later. Thanks for sharing.

Good info, thanks for sharing!

No you really do not look your weight. Brilliant job, well done!

When I was sticking to high protein I was getting really good results. I found that I wasn't hungry, stopped craving high carb foods and was just getting them from fruit, veg, seeds/nuts and legumes and lost around 20lbs in 6 weeks or so. I then went to NYC for my 30th and ate too much stodge and haven't managed to get…

I'm starting high protein today too (I had some success with it earlier in the year but then got off track). Supplements definitely helped me get my protein up and carbs down.
-
Oh I'd be interested to see how this works for you.

Oh that push up program sounds good, will have a look at that, thats.

Looking forward to weighing in on Sunday, especially after an NSV today. I fit back into my UK size 12 jeans, woooo! Well done everyone who has participated, not long now x

Cheers, wow though, I didn't expect it to be high in sodium. Just had a quick look at the sodium for cottage cheese on the database but its so variable I don't think it's very accurate, will have to check it out next time I go shopping.

I was having cottage cheese for a while last thing too, but I keep forgetting to buy it! In your opinion is it better to have natural cottage cheese or the low fat stuff? Or do you not think it makes much difference?

I normally have one for first thing, and then try and have something like oatmeal with some yogurt, natural wheat bran and a seed/dried fruit sprinkle an hour later. But the protein shake often keeps me feeling satisfied till lunch time so then I'll just have the shake in the morning.

Fab article, thanks.

My lemon drizzle chickpea cake turned out ok, so willing to give this one a shot. Thanks.

I've given up cheese for lent, but will definitely be trying this recipe after easter, thanks.

I totally agree with listening to your natural instincts. I also tend to listen when I crave things (that aren't crisps) as I will sometimes crave stuff like tomatoes or something salty and tend to think that this occurs when something is missing from my diet. Also I've always been slightly on the acidic side, but since…

For type 3 it says you should have around: 40%-45% Protein (Proteins = Meat, Fowl, Seafood, Dairy) 50%-55% Carbohydrates (Carbohydrates = Fruits, Vegetables, Grains) 10%-15% Oils/Natural Fats (Fats = Butter, Oils, Fatty Foods - ex. nuts, seeds, cheese, other fatty foods) So you could try fiddling with your settings on here…

Ooooh sounds yummy, thanks!

Good list, thanks!

I am quite partial to vodka, lime and soda but I much prefer spiced rum to vodka or a whisky and slimline ginger ale.

Yeah I've always wondered about them too. I'm sure they must work to some degree as long as you can get used to the weird feeling and are not expecting them to miraculously work without healthy eating and exercise, which you are not. I know my friend's husband regularly uses one and he's very healthy and already in very…

Wow, that does look really nice. Will have to give it a go, thanks!

Brilliant, I never realised there were so many uses for a cucumber!
-
Sounds good to me! Will definitely try this out when strawberries are back in season.

That's a brilliant story, I had a similar experience while swimming recently. I try and swim a couple of kms a couple of times a week and constantly have people (mostly guys) come in my lane and swim flat out for 2 lengths and then stand at the side of the pool panting for a few minutes and then swim another 2 lengths and…

I love this idea! I am obsessive about weighing myself, normally morning, noon and night! I know its not sensible or very constructive, but I really can't help myself :blushing: Currently my scales are on the blitz so this is perfect timing for me. I won't be able to do my final weigh-in till the morning though, when I go…

Thank you, both those recipes sound yummy! I think I may have my cooking head on this weekend and make up a few different recipes and seperate them out into batches to freeze, so they will be added to my list. r.e. veggie recipes I made an aubergine and sweet potato curry the other night. Obviously play around with spices,…
