Protein keeps me more satiated than any other food group.......something as simple as a hard boiled egg....a piece of cheese here and there.

I love reading all of these stories......my question is...and I'm sure this would require a separate thread, what made you change your habits? Why can you and I make changes, yet others say, "No Way can I eat healthy" ? just curious.....

I'm 51 and it's not as hard as it seems. Once you start tracking your calories and getting some exercise, the weight will come off. I think our metabolisms do slow down a bit, but the exercise will kick it back in gear!!

I deal with it two ways. First of all, I share healthy recipes...I "liked" pages like SkinnyTaste, etc., so I will repost recipes like that. Second of all, I do look at and repost the fattening recipes and it doesn't bother me. I guess as long as I know that I can have anything to eat as long as I stay in my daily…

Carbs, sugar, and fats huh? Sounds like your taste buds need a little "flavor adjustment". Only when you explore new foods (vegetables included), will you start to reprogram the way you eat. But I agree with the other poster....your kids will do as you do, not as you say. Good luck!

Why do you think you are losing motivation? Too busy to plan healthy meals? Too tired to exercise? I think if you really analyze why you are losing motivation, you may be able to come up with solutions! And 8 lbs is AWESOME!!!! Try to lose 8 more!!!
