You have done a great job! Congrats on your weight loss.

Agreed this!

I thought I knew every recipe site on earth. Thanks!
-
Looks like mine. I'd say it is normal!

So are you using 100 calories for the whole wing or each piece? I'm still not sure what you're considering "a wing". Thanks for responding.

I cook mostly at home as well. I use the recipe builder. You can even import recipes from other websites. It is easy to use. You can even scan ingredients as you add them. Something that will help immensely is a food scale, both for the ingredients but also for weighing out portions. If I make something, I put all of it in…

OK, so I'm going out for wings tonight. I know I'll be eating wings because it is 35 cent wing night. Now, the restaurant considers "a wing" one piece of a wing - either the drumette or the piece with two bones (don't know what to call that one - forearm? No one really answered this question. When looking up the calorie…

You don't need to cut out starch, just count it. It isn't "bad" for you. Don't rely on spoons to measure portions, especially when new to this. Get a food scale. At the very least, use a measuring cup or spoon.

In my opinion, if you are not losing weight then you are eating too much. You are either inaccurate in measuring or logging or overestimating calories burned. Increasing you calorie goal won't help unless it helps you be more accurate in logging. Good luck!

Hi! You can do this. I cook most of my own food and I was trained to cook by my country mama! I know and love the foods you mention. You can have them in moderation as long as they fit in your calorie plan. Cheaper sources of protein: tuna, chicken, beans, eggs, pork (lean). I eat eggs for breakfast every day. They help me…

 2 tablespoons of butter for one apple?? And you posted on a fitness site? Perhaps you meant to post on " gaining weight"?

Posting my first picture in response.

Oops. Too big!

Trying to post my first pic. Hope it works!

I agree that weight loss isn't linear. Mine has been anything but. I go up and down for what seems like an eternity and then drop. As long as you are consistently eating under what you burn, you will lose weight. If you are sure you are measuring portions and logging everything, just keep doing it. If you aren't, then…

Just go back to your diary for that day and add it.

Why don't you respond to the rest of us?

Love this!

There are YouTube videos on this as well.

Absolutely the best thing for this is a Foodsaver vacuum sealer and wide mouth mason jars. Google it "salad in a jar using foodsaver". I can keep salads with romaine, carrots and celery for almost two weeks. You can use either quart size or pints. The lids and rings are reusable as long as you don't damage them. Basically,…

400 calories an hour for gardening? How are you getting your burn numbers?
-
18 holes of golf is 2000? I read that you burn 150 calories an hour playing golf. I count 600 calories for a four hour round.
-
You are only 18! You have a lifetime ahead of you and you have a young body. Get it done now so you can have a full and happy life!

I just want to say that you can do it. Focus and commit. That's it. I wish you well. I know it isn't easy. But it is possible.

I thought I couldn't lose weight after menopause. I was wrong. Log everything you eat, weigh all your food and move more. It is working for me and soon I will be back to my pre-menopausal weight. Yea!
-
In looking at your diary, you drink a lot of your calories. Maybe try cutting out the shakes and eat real food? It will be more satisfying. You've lost a lot of weight and had great success. Don't beat yourself up so much!

I literally started by putting on my shoes. I didn't want to workout and I told myself "just put on your shoes, you don't have to workout". Of course, once the shoes were on, I went for a walk. I also put on my workout clothes. It makes it easier to take the next step. Try putting on your workout clothes when you get home…
