Yes, it is. There is sodium naturally in a lot of food and places where you don’t expect to find it. Canned vegetables and sauces, even celery and carrots. Even meat. So if we cook without checking labels, say spaghetti and just don’t add salt, we are probably over our limit.

Hi there. New to this thread. I have gone one day alcohol free, which is kind of amazing for me. I’m a heavy drinker, which I’m sure contributed to my 60 pound weight gain. I estimate I drink over 600 calories a day. I’m hoping to see a dramatic difference in my weight loss efforts. Is that your experience? Or did you just…

My trainer recommended chocolate milk post workout.

I’m a heavy drinker. It has been my biggest obstacle in losing weight. I don’t know that I can go alcohol free but I’m definitely able to reduce. I’m going to set a goal for the rest of this month of 7 drinks a week which is the lie I tell my doctor every time they ask if I drink alcohol. That seems like a good place to…

I don't know how to post a link, but in my app there is a 'challenges' section. Right now there is an Omega Red challenge with a prize of a UA gift card. That was my question. Just looking for someone that has actually won something.

Eat on track today and weigh in the morning. It isn't important to weigh yourself to start but is important to start to monitor your eating. One day of success on the food front and you'll feel better. Really.

I use it to marinate brisket. Use very sparingly. A little goes a long way. Too much is bitter.
-
So, no one has ever won a prize from a challenge? Do they motivate you at all?
-
Sorry for your loss. Proud of your accomplishments.

Don't think you've ruined the day so I might as well keep eating. Stop now, take a breath, and get out of the house. Try to work out or go for a walk or something that will get some endorphins going. Log your calories as best you can. It is over. Don't use it to derail yourself for the rest of the day or weekend.

If you're only eating 3 eggs a day, why the instruction to not eat fast food, etc? Wouldn't that be part of the three eggs only a day? Sounds like maybe you ate other food than just three eggs?

Music is a must!

I'm doing four days off, three days on starting today. This is going to be hard for me. Alcohol on weekends only.

Ive had some success in cutting back my alcohol. Today isn't a great example except that I'd still be drinking instead of drinking water right now normally. I'm at an away football weekend and there is a lot of partying. But i switched to water and will go to bed sober. The less I drink the more I can see abstaining all…

This is the million dollar question. So many of us have done the same thing, over and over. If someone could figure out a way to help us stay motivated, ingrain the good habits, and realize that if we stop we will go back to where we were, they'd make a million! Don't beat yourself up. You know what to do. You just have to…

I'm not sure that I'm ready to go 100 days without alcohol, but I know I need to cut back. It is the biggest stumbling block I have in my weight loss. Right now I'm focusing on cutting back to two drinks per evening measured at 1.5 fl. ounces each of gin). I've struggled and I usually get a lot of judgement, but I could…

I'm 60 and struggled with my weight all my life. I always thought of fitness as all or nothing. If I couldn't run a marathon, I may as well sit on my butt. What I wish I had realized earlier in life was that all exercise is good for you. Just move! Don't worry about what it does for your weight. Your calories consumed…

This is very motivational. I struggle with drinking my calories.

I too struggle with maintaining weight loss. Lost 35 pounds and have regained all but 7 of it back. I find I just lose my motivation once clothes start to fit better. I'm back to logging and weighing myself. I hope I can fight my way back down and then do a better job of staying motivated.

What you might try is the "old" weight watchers where low calorie vegetables were "free". That would be the lettuce, carrots, celery, cabbage, etc. Not the potatoes, yams, corn, peas. If it helps you lose weight, then it works for you!

Cereal is an item that you can often find coupons for. I never buy it for full price.
-
1. Try to use coupons when you can. Not for things you don't normally buy but for the items you usually get. Check out Krazy Coupon Lady.com. They have printable so and also point you to good bargains. 2. Dry beans and rice make a great meal and together offer a complete protein. Use spices and ham flavor packets. I put in…

I don't really care if they standing on the toilet. I care that they leave it a mess. Clean off your shoe prints.

Your coworkers?
-
Well, that explains it!
-
They leave shoe prints.
-
This. You either think about calories and lose weight or think about what to wear when your clothes don't fit.
-
That would be interesting

Eat vegetables with every meal. Even breakfast. I put spinach in my scrambled eggs, tomatoes on my egg sandwich.
