Update!!! Just tried it with a random recipe from Food Network and it worked! Awsome!!!!!!!
-
On the full website, not from the app, I log in. Go to Food, then Recipes. You will see right at the top "Recipe Importer" and a box to insert a URL for a website. I go to my Recipe Box on AllRecipes (this is where you may have something else or a website. I haven't tried it with something like cooks.com or anything else…

Does that import the recipe into the MFP database?

Wow, you guys are great. I'm going to have plenty to read. Thanks!
-
No offense, but I think I will pass. Proud of you, though!
-
Thanks everyone! Keep em coming! I'm going shopping on the Kindle store right now.
-
Absolutely agree with this. You'll be tempted to try to starve yourself. Don't!

Breakfast, I eat the 250 calorie Egg McMuffin. Their grilled chicken bacon ranch salad is only 230 calories. I usually get the Southwest dressing only 110 calories for the whole packet and I use about 1/2 of it by dipping my fork into the dressing versus pouring it all over the salad.

That is true enough. Thanks for the reality check! :) I'll just keep working on my deficit and quit worrying about all the crap.
-
I know I lose weight eating at a deficit. That is how I lost the first 26. But there are a lot of people on this site that think you need to eat a high protein diet to lose weight and gain muscle. I've read the guide to sexy pants and it is very helpful, but not the only info on here. I'm just trying to figure out how to…

Go to the doctor. He can do all kinds of things including tell you if it is arthritis, torn rotator, and possibly cortisone shots with PT. that's what got me through 10 years. Finally had surgery. Full movement now!

One thing that helps me is not having my drink of choice in the house. Switch to something you don't like as well. 2. Put the bottle somewhere it isn't as easy to get. I put it in the basement. 3. Weigh the alcohol and log it. I know that you should measure, not weigh, liquids but they are almost the same. I find it very…

I couldn't find them in my regular store so I ordered them online. I ate about six of the twelve packages I ordered and threw the rest away. They are disgusting. That is why you aren't hearing from people who ate them. No one can stand them for long. It is like eating worms.

I want to lose 1.5 pounds per week in February. I just lowered my calorie goals to step it up a little bit. This will be my first time to…

I used an online kilo joule converter and I come up with 38 calories for the bottle.

Wow. What a story. Yea you! You did it. You picked yourself up and made it happen, one step at a time. What a great story of love and hope. Congratulations on gaining your life back!
-
Maybe you should see a doctor for your loss of appetite.

I agree with the others. Get a scale and use it for everything! I'm constantly surprised when I weigh my food. For instance, I was eating an Artisan bread from Costco. The label said that 1/8 of a loaf was 57 grams. I was slicing it very thin and getting about 25 slices out of the loaf, so I was counting a slice as about…

Wow! You are awesome. You took your year and made it matter. Many times, I've started a "diet" to find myself a year later even heavier. I feel like MFP is something I can do forever and I hope that on my one year anniversary I can look in the mirror and find a healthier, happier, thinner me! Congratulations! Amazing work.

Require all restaurants to post nutritional information on their menus.

No offense, but I can easily eat my entire day's allotment in buffalo wings. Not to mention the beer, chips, dhili. I think you're minimizing the damage that can be done. It could easily undo a week's worth of work if not managed.

I don't think people should be so hard on the OP. I've been diagnosed as clinically depressed, was put on medication, and it had almost no effect on my depression. I was still lethargic, couldn't get off my couch most days, unhappy even though I had every reason to be happy. By the way, if you asked my friends and family,…

One more thing I find useful. Don't stand next to the food.
-
1. Give yourself permission to eat at maintenance that day if this is really important to you. But LOG EVERYTHING. 2. Plan ahead - we all know what types of foods we'll encounter here so pre-plan and enter into your log the buffalo wings, beer, potato chips, chili, all the things you know you will want to eat. That way you…

This is exactly what I bought. Love it so much, bought another for my vacation house and one for my sister!

I want to follow this thread. I drink almost daily and am not seeing the weight loss I want, even though I'm at or under my net calories. Let's see what the smart people say.

I agree. I've been on WW since the days when you had to make your own Ketchup. I find MFP more helpful to me but WW is not a bad program.

I also do the Hidden Valley ranch packets with 1 cup skim milk, half cup canola mayo , and half cup non-fat Greek yogurt. Again, delicious. About 40 calories.
