I gave up alcohol one year during Lent and was amazed at how much I lost. I'm 53 and although I've always watched my food intake, I am reluctant to give up my favorite vice. Now I'm doing 5:2 and will jump on a 30 day challenge, right after my beach vacation next week!

I'm at C1D12. It's so much easier now. Occasional cravings but nothing too major. Varying the recipes is key for me. I've lost 6 lbs. so far.

I just finished week 1 and am down 6 pounds. With those results, I'll be sticking with this!

Cheese. And most dairy.

Today is my day 4 and I've already lost almost 4 lbs. I'm thrilled. Exploring different menu items will keep me going! I needed a jump start and 17DD seems to be it!

Yesterday was my day 1. I need to space out my meals more. I was really unbearably hungry by 7:30pm. Headache as well. I'm sure today will be better!

I always get Steamed Shrimp & Vegetables. Dry. Sauce on the side. Brown rice.

I sometimes binge but try to keep it under control. I might have as much ice cream as I can fit on a tablespoon (you'd be amazed at how much a tablespoon can hold) or I will have 1 or 2 cookies. That isn't always so easy but I tell myself the 12th cookie is going to taste exactly the same as the first. Works for me most of…

You look fabulous to me! Haven't worn a bikini in about 25 years. (I'm 50 so....). Keep on doing what you're doing cause it's working!

Great work! You should be really proud of yourself!

Way to go! Great to have something tangible to work towards!

I agree with the other posters. Yes, it is hard. I've been taking 60 min classes at least 3x per week and every class is a struggle. That being said, you feel great afterward! It is an awesome work out. I would estimate I burn at least 500 calories per class. I have a favorite instructor and a favorite bike. I am hoping…

I vote for Asics as well! Love mine.

I'm loving this thread as well. Did 3 sprint tris last year. I'm ready to do some more this year. Ali, where do you live? Near Philly since you are considering SheRox? There are some good tris in the area. I like the D&Q ones, they are a little smaller and less intimidating than the larger ones like NJState Tri.

Hi, Count me in ladies! I am currently at 152 at 5'4. Just lost 4 lbs in the past 2 weeks. Loving this site. I currently work out about 5 or 6x per week. Spin class for an hour 3 days, a week, usually run on treadmill 2-3x week and try to sneak in a swim or two. Training for a sprint triathlon and a 4 mile run at the end…

I HAVE to eat breakfast. I wake up extra early so I can have my breakfast before my class at they gym. Also need to eat an hour before working out. I switch it up. Either shredded wheat with strawberries and ff milk, Raisin Bran or Irish Oatmeal with blueberries or raisins. I usually have another lite meal around 10:30 or…

Hi Heather, I'm Keiren. Count me in! I'm a newbie, too. On board for about 2 weeks. I love being held accountable. I used to think I could only do it through WW but this site has proven me wrong. The food database is great and includes almost everything I can think of. I lost 40 on WW 2 years ago but gained back 10. I…

Welcome aboard! This is a great group and very supportive. I've only been here 2 weeks but am already changing my eating habits as well as exercise habits. The food database is great and includes almost everything!

I did 3 sprint triathlons last year. The first two were fine. Although I was exhausted. The third was the NJ State Tri. It was at the end of July and completely brutal. I believe it was 103 degrees. I had a panic attack on the swim, and I am still unsure why. I didn't think I would make it. But I did! The run is the…

I just ordered a HRM and am interested to see what it indicates. It will be especially helpful in my triathlon training. Thanks for all the responses, very helpful!

Fabulous results! Keep up the great work. I love this site because it holds me accountable! Welcome aboard.

Keep up the great work! I say getting to the gym is half the battle! I agree with those who say mix it up and don't make it a chore. I try to get in 6 days a week, too. Usually I take a spinning class 3x week, on those days I'm too fried for anything else. The other days I mix it up with long run on treadmill 3-4 miles and…
