The best way to start is to dive in! I would start by chatting with someone who works at your gym just to get ideas of exercises and how to set up a lifting schedule. It takes awhile to figure out what's best for your body, everyone is different!

This. Becoming a Beachbody Coach was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Their emphasis on personal development has helped my confidence, positivity and resiliency in many aspects of my life. I'm also not a salesperson, nor do I participate in a scam. All of the coaches I have met have been people who have had their…

I'm starting tomorrow! Along with the nutrition program (although I feel that the calorie recommendation is really high).

Great New Englanders think alike!! We live on an old farm so we're having the ceremony and reception in the field - plenty of room to be crazy and loud haha!

I start week 4 of Insanity today and I LOVE it...it does take a daily commitment, but now I look forward to it every night when I get home. I would highly recommend wearing a heart rate monitor and doing what your body can handle, but don't forget to push. Insanity is all about digging deeper! Train insane or remain the…

Feel free to add me! I've been on MFP since November and am FINALLY starting to get the hang of it and see results! I'm 25, have a 5 year old daughter and work a desk job too...it's hard to make it allll work and lose weight at the same time! But you can do it!!!

These books are AWESOME. I couldn't put any of them down. Yes they do depict kids who have been forced to kill other kids, but it's meant to stand for a much deeper message. I highly recommend reading them if you haven't!

I'm just finishing up my first week of Insanity and my bf and I LOVE it! I was killing the gym 5 days a week, but that was nothing compared to the intensity Shaun T brings...not to mention he's some great eye candy :) It also makes me feel better when even the people on the DVD are struggling haha. I already feel like my…

Maybe I'll keep my gym membership and try to keep up my free weight routine there. Thanks!!

Great advice- maybe I'll just use the protein powder on the mornings of exercise days to gain back the calories I'll be burning? I exercise at night and find it hard to then eat 800 calories before bed.

I used to be addicted to diet sodas, but realized it was the fizz I loved so much. Now I drink 3 cans of flavored seltzer water a day and don't miss the soda at all.

But how will I know if my activity is enough to make up for my consumption? Trust me- I'm a creature of habit, but I think I need a starting point at least.

thanks everyone!!! I think I'll definitely be getting a HRM!

I ran a half marathon this Fall and my biggest advice would be to not overdo it. Your body NEEDS rest days and lots of calories (carbs) when you're running for that long. I slowly built up to further and further distances and I only ran the full distance once (about 4 weeks prior to the actual race). The rest of the time…

very helpful! thanks!!

That's the way to do it- then it reminds me the rest of the week how much I over did it and how hard I have to work to make up for it!
-
sounds AWESOME...I will definitely be trying this! thanks!

Awesome, thank you! I think I will start off slow...at this point I'm just hoping I don't roll off of it everytime I try to sit down :-) Does it matter how much air I put in it?
