Lately I've been doing pretty well with foods in the house that I used to have trouble with, but a few that I absolutely could not bring into the house a few months back: -Peanut butter. I'd eat pb+j by the spoonful -Oreos. I could eat a whole family pack myself. And I did. Twice. I don't really buy them anymore but just…

My mom made ramen a lot but now i do not care for the taste. I also had to drink lots of v8, back before we discovered the fruit flavors. So basically tomato juice and now I won't touch it

^this. I've only known about 2 people to be -legitimately- intolerant of gluten. Most of the others just think its "healthier" or that they will lose weight---which actually backfired for a girl I knew from high school. I think she ended up gaining around 30 lbs after going gluten free

I am 4'9, would like to lose another pound or two (basically maintenance though) and I've been trying to lift more/make a routine.

Looks great! And have others have stated, I too believe that life and food should be enjoyed. Either way, I have two jobs---I work in a bakery and also a deli/sandwich shop. Neither are chains, and everything is home made. So when estimating calories for places like this, I usually get a number in my head and search for…

Wow!

^This. You have to try to make this a lifestyle, so its okay if it doesn't work right away; I'm confident that you can do this, and you will find what works for you

20, taken (dating maybe?), student (maybe a photography or nursing or bio major)

Wow! That's almost completely accurate
-
24, taken, maybe a clerk or teacher? I'm bad at this lol

Yeah, they are illegal in the US, and ya know what? It does make me question how they would have been able to bring them here. We were young, and she hasn't been to Germany for a while. I guess it's just something we never really gave much thought to, lol

I know many of the employees at the gym I attend are very supportive, and I've seen them welcome returning guests with open arms. My mom, for example, who gained at least 30 lbs before returning. They made her feel comfortable, even after she expressed her fear of judgement. Of course, you don't have to let anyone know…

Lots of it

^ Thiiiiis. My boyfriend does not eat vegetables, and I imagine if he was to eat a salad or a vegetable of some sort he probably wouldn't feel too hot. On the flipside, if I had bacon, egg and cheese bagels, pizza, and cheese steaks on the daily like he does, I probably wouldn't feel well. It's all about that balance

Yup, it's happening to me right now! Usually I try to keep busy and accept that it's just a few days. A few days of bad eating cannot permanently ruin the progress

I agree with the above posts. I commute back and forth to college, so usually if I bring snacks it's something like half a sandwich and carrot sticks or an apple with a protein bar. Also, some places (like wawa) have small salads already made that you could grab if you stop in on your way to work. They also have carrot and…

Ooooh, I love Kinder Surprise. My friend would bring back a few for each of us, and that's the only time we would get it because we don't have it in the US. She used to live in Germany but went back for frequent visits. I'm still friends with her but she hasn't been to Germany in a few years.

I eat so many sweets. Still do, really, but I haven't had these mega-binges in a year or two: -I'd eat whole, family packs of birthday cake oreos. I just couldn't stop -Once, I made a dozen cinnamon buns with icing and ate them all -I'd finish a quart of ice cream in two sittings (or two days) -I ate two pints of Ben and…

Thank you, everyone for your replies. I value each opinion and have taken them all into account

When I met my boyfriend we found we were both picky eaters. I don't like many types of meat and he doesn't eat vegetables. Almost polar opposites, besides the fact that we both like fries and pizza, lol. Luckily, we've foud restaurants that will accommodate both o our tastes (for instance, the cheesecake factory's numerous…

Make a wrap. Get some turkey, chicken, etc and a low cal wrap (I use tumaro's garden veggie----60 cals for one wrap, plus a decent amount of protein and fiber) and load it with veggies like spinach, tomato, etc. You could also spread a laughing cow cheese wedge on it (35 cals). Pair it with greek yogurt and you've got…

I like protein bars, yogurts, baby carrots, fruit salad (just use half an apple, some grapes and maybe half a pear? Really, whatever fruits you like)

Nooo! Save yourself while you can! I've had the pb, the honey mustard dressing, the ceasar dressing and the ranch! The only one that is somewhat stomach able is the honey mustard, but they always made me feel sick and they are a waste of money!

Thank you for sharing! This is a very inspiring story. Keep up your good work!

While I feel that celiac's disease is, in fact, a real problem that people suffer from, I will say that many people claim to have it, though they do not really (in my experience anyway).

I imagine that black bean brownies may be low in sugar, but you would have to double check the recipe. Also, some people get turned off by the idea of eating black beans in dessert, so you'd have to be careful. Otherwise, I guess fruit (like others have said) would be a good option for dessert, but you would have to check…

A week ago, I asked my boyfriend "when was the last time you've eaten a vegetable?" as he doesn't normally eat them and he said "Last year during wrestling season. I had to eat celery and it was awful" ;)
-
Oh yes, they are disgusting! I forgot about them
