^This. One day cannot completely ruin you or the success that you've had. It's a good reminder

I'm having second Thanksgiving today, but starting today with a nice workout to make me feel clear and ready. Thanksgiving didn't treat me too badly yesterday, and I know I probably ate a lot of calories, but due to stress and the business of work this past week, I haven't eaten much, so I probably broke even. How to get…

I've tried a protein bar that was cranberry flavored. I like the other two flavors (blueberry and apple) but the cranberry one tasted like cardboard! It had a very distinct, sharp taste, similar to what you might taste when you accidentally bite part of the wrapper of a cupcake----except this time, there wasn't any cake!
-
Yeah, I get it too sometimes. I always thought it was just a thing that happens sometimes, especially after drinking water
-
I ended up with about 2300 I think, could be more could be less lol
-
Well, thank you :)

Thank you for all of your helpful advice :) You're right, I'm 4'9 and my bmi is around 20.8 according to the nhlbi calculator (the first result on google). So yes, I'm healthy, and a bit preoccupied, unfortunately. I just feel like those last few pounds would be the icing on the cake, and I think it would really make me…

Thank you :) I've done it before, but my boss gets weird about it. She'll look over at me and say "Oh? What's that?" or something along those lines. This technique could work for the days she's not there, though (which is sporadic). Usually I have an apple in my bag just in case, so maybe I can eat that when/if she leaves.…

Yes, I'm a big cardio person (and I know lifting is important) but right now I run/elliptical 7 days a week and I average about 2-3 days of lifting each week. Cardio lasts anywhere from 45 mins-1 hour a day, and lifting is usually around half an hour.

Thank you :) I think one of the main problems of the weekend is my work schedule. It's no excuse, but I don't get a lunch break at my job. So usually I'll work out, eat a good, healthy breakfast and then go to work on the weekends. I work around food, but usually it's kinda easy to keep away. However, when I get hungry,…

Hm, that seems pretty manageable. Thanks! I mean I guess I'll see some progress, but sometimes I get discouraged if I can't see progress.

I'm pretty good about measuring and weighing throughout the week, but it's the weekend where things go out the window (with the exception of breakfast. I always have time to weigh breakfast no matter what). So that's another habit I should try to stop.

Oh, believe me, I would never give up my delicious, wholesome, REAL bread for a lettuce leaf. But I have friends who will do this sometimes (Celiac's disease). I don't buy into this whole "clean" thing, but from what I understand, it's extremely plant based with minimal processing when it comes to the food itself.
-
Yes, I've had this experience :'( lol Anyway, OP, If you're concerned with "clean", why not use huge romaine leaves/lettuce leaves and put whatever you'd put on a sandwich in the leaves?
-
I wouldn't do that. As a binge eater myself, I've tried so many methods to stop. I've even tried what you've mentioned above, but to me, it just led to over thinking, self deprivation (that led to later binges) and self sabotage. My binges are becoming few and far-between, and really, I think it's because I've been able to…

Oatmeal, greek yogurt, spinach, wraps, broccoli, some kind of bread (usually rye because it's my fave) Other things like cottage cheese and the laughing cow cheese wedges are good because you can use them as a dip for vegetables or even spread on bread with turkey and veggies for a sandwich.

I don't really mind subway. There's a pretty nice one by me. Actually though, I like Wawa.

Not gonna lie, aspartame and some artificial sweeteners make me...smelly :p ETA: Might be TMI buuuuut since we're talking about aspartame here...

I definitely agree with those who are touting moderation. In my case, I love candy so much that sometimes it would make up at least 50% of my calorie intake for sure. One method I used, though, was getting myself "excited" to eat healthy food and promising myself one sweet a day. Is it like this everyday? No, but I feel…

I think that these foods are good in addition to other foods. Of course, you can get the equivalent protein and fiber in so many ways that will contain many less calories---More bang for your buck, yaknow. But if these are foods you enjoy, I wouldn't rely solely on them for a good body; because I hear that what you've…

I am around 4'9 and I currently weigh 96 lbs. I would like to drop another 3lbs maybe, but it's a little hard for me right now :(

In my experience, I get gas when I eat crappy foods, but also when I chew gum/have food with artificial sugar (the -ol ending ingredients). I'll have them and then the gas will start a few hours (maybe 2 or 3) after consumption, and usually prompted because I ate something else. Could it be something else you are eating,…

Thank you, all :)

Hmm, gee, looks to me like there's more than a few. Oh what joy, rapture! Too bad they all have different counts labelled under the *same* type of food, hence my reason for asking.
-
Thank you :) I'll try again

It's the turkey breast, white meat, and the way it's sliced it has very little skin
-
Yes this. I eat sugar daily, and plenty of it, I'm sure (I don't count sugars). I work in a bakery. If anyone is really so concerned about sugar, just limit it. There's always a way to make treats fit into daily eating.
-
I actually just transitioned this week, first time eating meat in 6 years! Well, what I have found is I like to have bits of meat in things. I had a sandwich with a little turkey and some spinach yesterday. I think it's a little bit easier to tolerate in the beginning if you eat it with something. I probably won't be…
