I just realized that I commented on this thread! Still it's good to read and know we're not alone. Though my binges have been pretty few and far-between lately, I also wanted to add that one of my worst binges ever involved a whole gallon of low fat birthday cake ice cream over the course of two days, along with copious…

Once again, thank you everyone for the replies :) In response: -Lol yes, I know what bacon is. As long as it's super crispy and I only have a strip or two I'll be good to go, that's how I used to eat it. -I want to go back to being an omnivore because I feel it will promote a healthier lifestyle for myself. Obviously, I…

Almond milk isn't necessarily an alternative to skim milk, but I actually prefer almond milk over skim because I do not like dairy milk. Almond milk would be good for cereal or making lower calorie milkshakes. I really like the taste of almond milk so I can drink a plain cup of it, but it doesn't taste anything like skim

Also, how can I get my body used to eating meat again?

Disney! And Philly's pretty cool too, believe it or not. I live near Philly, it's about 15 minutes by train

Well, quitting food wouldn't be too efficient. And why should you have to quit food? I lose weight and I eat ice cream, chocolates, and cupcakes almost everyday. I always have at least one sweet thing a day. But if nothing's changed, just try to change it up. Measure EVERYTHING you eat and be conscious of the calories in…

This morning, my breakfast was a frozen meal (Pumpkin Squash Ravioli by Healthy Choice) and a cup of green tea. Tons of vitamin A in that :)

When I first started to recover from my ED, my nutritionist wanted me to incorporate nuts into daily eating. I found that I would intend to eat a few almonds or peanuts to stave off hunger, but I could NEVER stop. After some review, my nutritionist told me that this could be because I wasn't getting enough protein from…

feedback loop  OP, I've seen the post on pinterest you're referring too. If you hunt around, you may find a pin titled "Halloween Snacks that don't involve candy", I forget what the actual pin looks like, but it will link you to a page with all kinds of festive foods. Or you could take a healthier dessert recipe…

As far as I'm concerned, butter never left  Mo' butter mo' better! :drinker: And I must agree with everything likitisplit said. I like the concept of the 4 Ms, especially focusing on moderation. Moderation is very valuable for having a healthy relationship with food, as well as a healthy body

Technical/numerical stuff set aside.... I tend to snack when I'm bored. Snacks can be important when it comes to reaching your macro and calorie goals, but it can be a hindrance to me when I snack for the wrong reasons. I have to keep myself busy when I'm home alone or else I'll probably start snacking too much. I like to…

I am very sorry to hear that. Many people in my family have diabetes, and my mother is prediabetic. In response to your feelings that your working out is for nothing, I would say this: Think of all the positive benefits that come along with exercise. It gives you a nice body, it's great for cardiovascular health, and it…

If you're me, probably gummy worms. I used to physically crave them, the slight crunch from the sour sugar coating and then the sweet, gummy chew. I ate them 1-3 times per week for a good two months, probably. I haven't really craved them since this time last year. In addition to what others have mentioned, you could try…

I can't speak personally since I don't drink, but in my mom's case, alcohol has been a big hindrance to to her weight loss. Like others have said, treating it like it's food is probably the best way to go about it. It's definitely possible to just track the calories in alcohol as they would factor into a regular day of…

1.) As previously stated, definitely more food 2.) I like to let my heart pump 3.) I'm predisposed to heart disease and obesity, as it runs in my family (lol "runs"...but they don't) 4.)I like to see people's jaws drop when I tell them I'm a distance runner 5.) Booty

Very interesting, everyone! And with the noodles, I actually know a person in kindergarten who did that! He was Vietnamese and he said that's one way his family ate ramen. I had never heard of it!

Thank you, everyone! The insight provided is very helpful. Also, to answer your question, I am not a vegetarian for ethical reasons, I'm pretty much just a picky eater. I would rather continue to abstain from eating meat:smile:

I had a brownie and some reeses pieces

I agree with the previous posters...It's probably normal fluctuations. Especially if you're training hard. I've known people who have "shot up" ten pounds over the course of just a few days, due to water retention, unhealthy food choices, binges, etc. I wouldn't "cry myself to sleep" over 1 pound. Give it a little more…

Rye bread. Especially when its rye bread and swiss cheese with spinach and tomato all nice and grilled..... Also, all things sweet. Lately, brownies and ice cream. When I can fit it, of course. It's much easier when I'm home to enjoy sweets because I also work out a lot more when I'm at home. At the program I'm…
