  • Definitely agree with the others. Make it fit, after you've had your serving pop a piece of gum in your mouth and/or go for a walk. Or take a shower. Anything to create a distraction, even if it's temporary. And tell yourself you can always get another serving tomorrow.
  • Welcome, Shelly! I'm Angie and I too love cupcakes (and cookies, and brownies, and petite fours, and froyo and my how the list goes on!) I am a dessert person. I work in a bakery! Lol anyone can feel free to add me, I'm always looking for new friends and great, inspiring people. I'm almost at the weight I would like to be…
  • I loveeeeee panera bread or subway. Saladworks too, if you consider it fast food
  • I'd say take it for what it's worth. Yes, if you're hungry, you should eat, but there's no need to stuff yourself silly or go crazy trying to reach the goal. Eat until you are satisfied and accept that some days you will be far under your calories and some days you will be far over, these things will even out.
  • Sorry, please disregard this. I figured it out
  • Avocado. It's not the taste necessarily, but the texture and my stomach always feels bad after eating it so I avoid it ETA: Also, milk and eggs. However, if they're baked into a cake....
  • Thank you!
  • Ah, thank you. That's very helpful. Now when I go to log the calories into mfp, should I just subtract 557 from the total to get the amount of calories burned for the day through exercise?
  • But where? CHICKEN HAIR
  • I think this could be what I'm looking for! Do you know how well this one works with the elliptical? And since it does not sync, do you just plug in the calories burnt to MFP manually? Usually when I use nike+, I just log the exercise as "blank minutes of running" according to which mph rate gives me the amount of calories…
  • Thanks for your reply! Leave it to me to screw things up like that lol. I guess I would be more or less looking for a fitbit then. Do you think it would work accurately if I was on an elliptical? That's what I enjoy using at gyms for cardio, and my current gym's ellipticals have the calorie burn on them, but I'm not sure…
  • Do whatever feels good for you :flowerforyou: personally I cannot and will not give up biscotti and the petit fours sold at my work
  • Possible TW below: I suffered from anorexia, and I'd binge at least twice a week, severely undereating the rest of the week. I was forced into recovery, though I think I was about ready to recover, or at least try, but the push helped. It was intervention style. From that day (March 1st 2013) until June, I ate more and…
  • I miss everything about Disney! I was there with my boyfriend and friends in March. I'm a generally health conscious person, and I found that I had no problem during my vacation. Eat as you please, take the time to enjoy yourself. If you feel you need something a little lighter in calories, they have plenty of salads (I…
  • I did some basic calculations and I came to the result that I will need around 981 calories per day to lose 2 lbs in 13 days. Needless to say, that will not be happening, because that's just not good. I guess my current defecit just isn't enough for that frame of time, so I decided to just continue to do what in doing, as…
  • You're right, two pounds doesn't make a big difference, even on a petite person. I think when I "see a difference" at that small of a change it's in my head. I figured setting little goals would help me stay on track, as I don't have very much to lose in the first place
  • I know this is saracasm, and yes, the goal does seem silly :) but it's more of a mile stone thing, I guess. Maybe a way to gauge progress
  • I found a dollar on someone's lawn once. I took it.
  • In, because I've heard of this!!
  • Hmm, sounds good. And true, all veggie burgers contain food, therefore they're edible, but I have a slight intolerance to artificial sweeteners, and while it's not a super big deal, I try not to eat them too much
  • Good point, and thank you for your reply! I got the nike+ insert as a Christmas gift, but it is not accurate when on the elliptical/ lifting weights (ie saying I'm going 0.00 mph). I've been considering buying a HRM, maybe I'll treat myself to one :)
  • Agreed. Overall, you just don't want to use diet pills. Listen to your hunger cues, take a run or a walk, and if all else fails...it's only 5 days. If you progress is hindered slightly, just remember that you enjoyed the time spent there, and that you can always get back on track once you're home
  • ^^ive heard this as well

  • Hmm, I guess that makes sense. I've heard that about sea salt, but I've also heard that argument was disproven and somewhat of a given

  • Thank you very much! I will be sure to add you!

  • Am I right in thinking that simply weighing less would mean less body fat? I feel like I knew the answer once :( can't remember. I know that losing weight can also mean losing muscle, but I would continue to lift

  • Thank you for your insight :) I am 18. So even though I am eating 20% less than my TDEE, I still am not supposed to log exercise? I honestly am not sure how to even go about that :( would I just eat the 1555 and exercise? Would I have to eat those calories back? Seems hard to keep track of. Also not sure how to set the…

  • Should I pick a number in between?

  • Also, when I say 1280 is doable, I mean that's what I net (sometimes below, sometimes above) so I guess another question would be if I go the 1555 route, would I be eating that in total or netting that? And would I still log workouts?

  • Freeze them and put them in a food processor. Pulse until smooth and creamy. Bam! Banana soft serve that is dairy free. Add peanut butter, sprinkles, craisins, chocolate chips just as you would with ice cream. I love ice cream, so I won't use this to replace ice cream, but it's still super yummy and a good way to use the…
