  • Perhaps I will try this for Easter!
  • Also, I noticed you keep saying "I'll call it a binge if I want to!" But can we just take a sec to remember that a binge is usually an out of control experience? You are literally on autopilot at times during a binge. Could it be that, perhaps, you ate simply because you were hungry? Maybe your body NEEDS those calories to…
  • Recovery is hard. I've been about a year and a month into recovery, and I still struggle. But the good news: it DOES get easier. Most days, I didn't eat over 500 calories. Then I would binge all weekend. I was severely underweight. But guess what: recovery is so worth it. Give up the scale. Don't weigh until a month from…
  • I don't really have a pedometer, but I use the Nike+ app. The insert for the nike shoes was fairly cheap and the app uses the insert to track calories burned, distance, and time. It's got multiple workout settings too
  • I can send ya some rotten spuds that we have at work...they just go to waste anyway!
  • Thank you everyone. Tomorrow's another day I guess. But actually, I am quite the opposite if sugar free; I eat a treat after dinner daily and I eat jelly, among other sweet foods throughout my day. I don't deprive myself of anything, and I ate quite well on vacation. That's why I'm having trouble figuring out where this is…
  • I'm in Disney world right now! If rides are your concern, there are plenty of rides you two could enjoy together. I recommend the Monsters Inc. laugh floor. It's more of a show than a ride and it's so funny! Also the Ellen show is extremely slow moving, it's like 5 mph through a dinosaur display. Ellen is in Epcot and…
  • My period came back with the help of eating more and my birth control pills I was put on specifically for brining my period back. I was without my period for about 10 months
  • This has happened to me, and I like the advice that I have just read on this forum! I agree with everything. I was even put on BC to help bring my period back. I also had to start eating more, but I was severely underweight, so I am now maintaining a weight that is good for me. I would also incorporate strength training…
  • BUT there is a difference between refusing cake because you don't like it/aren't hungry for it and refusing it because you're terrified of it and it's "not pure"
  • I am no stranger to the world of eating disorders, and I know many people (including myself) who tried to go vegan while in recovery. Vegan is not inherently an unhealthy thing, but when you're only vegan because you want an excuse to deny many "unhealthy" foods, it more of a manifestation of that which you are trying to…
  • After calculating, it seems I should be eating around 33 grams of fat, and I'm sure that I eat more than that daily. Could this be a factor?
  • Thanks, that's helpful! I usually do some form I strength training 4-5 x a week along with cardio almost every day. Some days I don't eat around my TDEE though, and some days I'm sure it's more. Maybe it evens out, but at least I know now!
  • At my work, we sell a cake called the classico- chocolate cake, a layer of cheesecake, and then another layer of chocolate cake...all covered with chocolate ganache! I'm more of a vanilla person, but even I love it!
  • My mom and I eat baby foods, brought from any store. Id rather eat my vegetables whole, but sometimes ill get the mixed vegetable baby food and dump it over pasta with some tomato sauce. You cant even taste the veggies mixed with it
  • Ive had a few that were pretty bad. One time I ate a whole jar of honey pretzel peanut butter, plus other various things that day. I cooked banana walnut bread loaves for a mudical rehearsal and I ate a whole loaf in one sitting. One time I baked 12 cinnamon buns and promptly took little pieces until I had realized I…
  • that was so sweet  thank you!
  • thank you, and you're right, this has been a brutal winter. I live in NJ and I'm home today due to the snow.
  • thank you for the advice!
  • ahhh! I just changed my picture before I saw this! Lol well thank you for the advice, I think a lot of it is boredom driven
  • TL;DR I'm not over weight and while I'm fairly healthy with my eating and exercise habits, I still overeat more often than id like to admit and its making me feel out of control.
  • Maybe this doesn't make a whole lot of sense...
  • Thanks everyone! The thing is, my tofurkey is labelled as "natural" and to my knowledge, gmo free. I suppose its still processed soy since its not soybeans in their unaltered form. Not sure if that has anything to do with it or not
  • Nothing?
  • As others have said, 10 lbs in 3 weeks is a bit much. Why not scrap the diet idea and focus on losing weight and being healthy with a more manageable option. That way, the weight you lose will be sustainable, and if you start now, by time your next birthday rolls around in a year (or even before that) you'll meet your goal
  • This morning I made a banana flavored cream of wheat packet with half a scoop of vanilla protein powder, a big handful of frozen blueberries, and a spoonful of peanut butter. So goood! Usually my go to's are chobani with granola or sunflower seeds, a bagel thin with a bit of cream cheese, nooch and lots of veggies, etc.
  • Thank you :) and good job everyone!
  • Healthy is very subjective, so for her to try to deem what is "healthy " vs. "Unhealthy" is just not right to me...its unfair, almost. Why does she get yo tell us the magic trick, how everyone should eat. Surely, its not the only way. She makes her diet seem exclusiveonly the best to pass her body, which makes her seem as…
