I meant to quote this sooner but got sidetracked----you're my hero. My mom and I always say this. Why not eat this way? No one seems to understand that you can eat broccoli and still have cake. It doesn't have to be one or the other.

Truth be told, I don't even like Twinkies that much. I live in the great land of Tastykake, and why eat a Twinkie when you can have a Krimpet? Or even oreos, or ice cream, or biscoff.... The list goes on and on!

Seems that moderation works best for me. But I guess I'm a little lucky. I do find myself craving salads, soups, and other things that are (or can be) pretty nutrient-dense, but I also love sweets of all kinds. I'd gladly have a cup of soup at Applebee's as my main meal if I meant I could have some mozzarella sticks for…

I've been craving turkey bacon. Luckily we have some :) I consider it a pretty good snack. I like regular bacon too, but I had the specific craving for turkey bacon.

Yeah, unfortunately if you miss a day, the counter resets :( Also, it counts days when we log in, not log our food

Good luck in your recovery. I too would recommend seeking professional help. It might be hard not to get frustrated with yourself, but I think you will be a lot happier when you can come to peace with yourself.

I like ALL the breads. Except white. Holy aftertaste, batman. I think my favorite is rye, more specifically Ginsburg's rye

So it's been a month.... ...What's the verdict?

I think moderation is key. Many people will say moderation is hard (read: -impossible-, but only because it doesn't work for THEM). It's sorta hard to make it a habit, but it's worth a try. It takes practice. If you can learn it you won't have to avoid sugar forever, because tying to avoid sugar can result in bingeing. And…

1 container of chobani raspberry Greek yogurt with 1 tbsp of peanutbutter mixed in. Accompanied by a tall glass of Metamucil

Well OP, a few people have already said what I wanted to say, basically. You'd probably be better off with a sensible calorie deficit. Your hunger and your wallet will be satisfied.
-
Well I'd ask how you're feeling mentally. Are you depriving yourself? 2000 calories is a generous number, and I see no reason why you can't through a few treat foods into the mix. I feel like 2000 cals of just veggies, fruits and lean protein could get extremely monotonous. I found it was important to have treats readily…

Confession: My SO and I won't be having Valentine's Day until next weekend, but we went to Wawa to get dinner last night. He said "you're my valentine, so pick out some candy to share". I said "no, why don't you pick?" because he is very picky and doesn't like most things (like caramel----he's crazy for not liking that,…

So I've heard :) CICO for the win ETA: But not always I guess

Looking great! And I love that look on your face as you look over your should in the photo of the jeans. Must feel good! Keep up the good work

One of my coworkers took on this "holier than thou" attitude when I went back to eating meat a few months ago after being a vegetarian for a little over six years. She's like that because two or three years back she gave up eating pig and cow meat because "they're just too cute!", while I now eat bacon and some other types…

Ahhh, you got the reference! I'm not crazy

Today's intake consisted of mainly cookie butter, ice cream, and mini candies. I look five months pregnant. I'm embarrassed.

I used to get anxiety while food shopping. After I stopped banning certain foods from my life and telling myself I could have them, the anxiety went away. Nothing is off limits. I now have biscoff spread, ice cream, and some others foods that I used to have trouble having in moderation. That's not to say that's all I eat,…

New confession: last night I ate a big meal because my boyfriend and I went out to eat. I also ate a lot of chocolate yesterday and couldn't fit a workout in due to my gym's hours. After all this I wasn't super stuffed, but well over calories. Knowing I wanted to go to the gym this morning, I intentionally let myself…

You're my favorite vegan

I'm glad you said that, because even if it's bad quality food, it's still food. I don't like the way some people call bad quality or less nutrient-dense food "garbage"

Sometimes when I'm at work, I pick a little piece of cookie off and then put that cookie in the sample tray because that's what we do with the "broken" ones. Or I get the icing left on the tray after we've sold all of the cupcakes from that tray. I use my finger, not my tongue. I figure it's less work for our dishwashers.

Ah okay, now I see. There's this radio show host I've heard that does all love songs during her nightly shift. She also takes calls from people who are all like "I just love her so much! I have to dedicate the song X to hear right now!" and "I just miss him sooo much, I'm sad". It's all a little sappy, but she's a good…

I also must confess that I love metamucil. Sure, it helps the body do that thing, but I feel satisfied and calm when I take it. I take it twice a week at most, and some weeks I don't have it at all, but if I drink some before work, I don't even think of food. And it doesn't bloat me

I like this confession!

Confession: I had a binging problem during my recovery from anorexia (as most do) but I once kicked a hole in the wall due to the anxiety and frustration it caused me. Not one of my finest moments :\ On a lighter note, I eat powdered cake mix. I haven't eaten it in a really long time, but this was a staple for my mom and…

I'm quoting this because I agree with you, but also to ask this question: is your username a reference to a radio station, by any chance?

Beautiful! What a great job!
