  • I wanted to give an answer to the original posters question. You had asked if the pain gets any easier. The truth is that you will never forget your baby, but you will learn to live without them for now. I'm not sure if you believe in God or not, but if you do, let this be one of the things that pushes you to live for God,…
  • I used a TDEE Calculator and it says: Your BMR is: 2456 CALORIES/DAY Your TDEE is: 3484 CALORIES/DAY I used Mifflin-St Jeor formula thing.
  • I've always wanted to know about this. I've noticed the one consistant thing that I'm over on with the numbers is Sodium.
  • Ok, that brings up another question. What do you mean by fresh produce? Does frozen vegetables count? I do not know how to cook a large meal thing without instructions that is. Honestly, my groceries come from food stamps, since I have no money coming in due to doctors telling me not to drive or work. I have measured my…
  • BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate): The number of calories you burn at complete rest. EAT (Exercise Associated Thermogenesis): Caloric requirements of training, or training expenditure. NEAT (Non Exercise Activity Thermogenesis): Caloric requirements of activity that is not planned exercise. Vacuuming, driving, brushing your…
  • I'm confused about all those technical words. I wish it was in more laymens terms. Sorry I'm just new to all of this.
  • Yeah I just read that link, and I'm so confused right now.
  • How do you think I'm doing on my eating? I've listed everything I've ate since I started MFP. I've been walking at least 4-5 times a week. I started out doing 2.5 miles in 27 minutes, then 3.7 miles in an hour, and then 5.1 miles in 98 minutes.
  • That sucks....I put in walking 5.0 mph for 98 minutes, and it came up over 1500 calories burned. so now i had to change it to what you said, and it went to 648 calories burned. ugh
  • The problem I have is that I have Multiple Sclerosis, and I've been out of work since the beginning of the year. The doctors and all have been doing a lot of tests on me, and my primary care doctor advised me to lose some weight, so that is what I'm doing. The only income I have is food stamps right now, so I can't afford…
  • Well honestly, I'm new to all of this dieting stuff. A friend of mine had told me about Lean Cuisine and Healthy Choice dinners, so I started eating those. Everything I put in my diary is what I have ate for the last week when I started MFP. And honestly, I don't know how to cook. I know how to cook eggs and simple things…
  • Thanks for the advice! I have questions though: Are Lean Cuisines and Healthy Choice dinners ok to eat for a meal, and how many should you eat in one day? I have ate some this week, and I've always been under my calorie goal, but the sodium content is high. I'm not an expert cooker, which is why I look at all the labels of…
  • Right now, the MFP thing says after I completed the day I would go from 255 to 228 in 5 weeks if I kept going on this diet and exercise plan. The doctors office said Monday that I weighed 271 pounds, but when I stepped on the scales Tuesday morning, I weighed 255. I haven't weighed myself tonight, but I will weigh myself…
  • The food I got today was apples, strawberries, 3 Healthy Choice dinners which I will only one a day or every other day, yogurt, shrimp, hot peppers, and Fiber 1 bars. I try to keep calories, sugars, sodium all low. I've just started walking 2 miles a day, which the last time I did it was Saturday in which I did 2 miles in…
  • I don't have access to a gym right now. I did do 90 minutes of raking my yard yesterday, in which I'm very sore today.
  • I'm 25 years old, 5 foot 11, and I weighed 271 at my doctors office yesterday, but my scale says 255 today. My overall goal is to be 200 pounds or less.
