  • Thanks Lietchi, I will check and see what it gives me. I am not REALLY worried - as I am often below the 1690 goal anyway as a rule - and I am still getting losses - but I was thinking after I hit the 20lb or 25lb mark it may be a goods idea to update. EDIT: I just went into my settings, and hit SAVE I didn't need to…
  • Other than the obvious weighing and measuring foods as well as logging I started walking on weekends. I started waking up at around 8 AM when the weather got nice and figured I would give my app "Zombies Run" another go. so now Saturday and Sundays I load up my app and go for a walk. Nothing crazy - I walk about 45-60…
  • this shouldn't be something that makes you miserable. this needs to be something you can sustain over your lifetime. You are supposed to be starting healthier habits, that you can keep doing and following happily once you hit your goal. I am set to sedentary. I started to walk (about 1 km in 10.5 mins) when the weather got…
  • So here I am now a couple days AFTER TOM - and I dropped 2 extra pounds... Let the cycle continue! And thank you everyone who commented... yes I was being facetious, and poking some fun... I just wanted to rant a little :)
  • So I started walking 2 weeks ago... I use the ZOMBIES run app - and go for 40+ minutes on weekend - and any days off we have also. I use MAPMYWALK to track my walking and it sync's to MFP. Generally don't eat back calories but knowing they are there if I need them is helpful. I was all in a panic as my first month gave me…
  • When I go to ADD FOOD from my Diary and swipe in any direction it just takes me to the next TAB option - like Recipes, Meals or My Foods.... I can't delete them that way. Anyway I managed to clear all the old crap... when I would sort it by name or anything other than recent it was popping up items from over 6 years ago.…
  • My phone is a huawei P10 lite from about 3-4 years ago. Android device and it works....
  • Thanks for this... all of this. I don't drink enough and was told that could be part of the issue. Today I started drinking more, and have drank over my "you should aim to drink 1920 ml" from the diary page. 2L so far at 4:30 - and I plan to do this daily. I do plan to wait out a full menstrual cycle - because usually…
  • According to my doctor my blood work, thyroid etc is all the same as before. I am on blood pressure pills and a diuretic that I wasn't on at the first go around - and was told here that drinking more (I really don't drink enough in a day) could help. So today I started and upped my water to 2L (so far as of 4:30 PM) and…
  • my intake is set to 1715 calories and as a rule I am usually a couple hundred under at the end of 90% of my days. I am 5ft 11" and I set to lose 1lb a week when I started - wanting to go somewhat slow and steady... Scale is consistent with weight and I step on and off twice each time - its been constant. Batteries are…
  • Yeah for sure... its part of the whole process. This is my second go around now - and I didn't have anywhere near this much trouble the first time. I generally try to stay in my limits of fat / carbs etc.. but I am not religious about it - I already started buying certain foods just for me - but I honestly cannot start…
  • No, and I am not gaining any muscle as I am focusing on the CiCo and not doing exercise just yet... it definitely isn't that. I really am stumped...
  • Thanks... I am weighing myself but not as religiously as the first time (was daily) I have to say I am getting discouraged already as the scale has NOT moved - unless it went UP a lb and back down *(fluctuations are normal - I DO understand that) but being spot on with my logging since starting over, and not seeing a…
  • I actually use the Zombies RUN! app... although I don't run I walk.. it still works and I love it!!
  • @Lietchi I havent started exercise yet no...I think that is why panic is starting to creep in.. @L1zardQueen said she couldn't see my diary... but I did set it to Public my first go around - is it actually open or do I need to do something else? I know before people did see it...
  • @L1zardQueen I won'\t give up now... obviously I just started... but I guess not seeing it work as quickly as the first time is just... bleh... :s
  • Hey all sorry for taking time to reply - I generally check post weekdays only. So I started the meds from my doctor a few years back actually - and no she never mentioned anything about upping my water intake (or fluids in general) or salt. I don't add salt to my foods as a rule - and never have - although with some of the…
  • I am not tracking salt, although for the most part I'm within my limits. Admittedly I am not drinking enough water or fluids in general... My morning coffee lasts until noon most days and I may have water with lunch and dinner but that's it. I hate water...I need it Flavored to drink regularly, and refuse to pay that much…
  • It isn't really likely you ACTUALLY gained 9lbs in 5 days... a good chunk of that is probably water weight...and your ACTUAL weight will fluctuate a up to 5 lbs in any given month... That being said: You may not have changed your diet - but you must have either eaten more than you usually would - or are doing less activity…
  • 43 year old Mother of 2 teenage boys on her second journey to lose some weight. SO is supportive but doesn't really understand as he is relatively slim already and never had to lose weight. Just looking for people on the same journey that I can vent to, ask questions to, and generally not feel alone on the way.
  • I just started back up myself and 10 days in have gained 1.2lbs. I KNOW I am doing things right.. and it is my body adjusting.. I just tell myself not to panic and it will happen...
  • I learned to weigh everything early on. The good news is there are some things that actually let you eat MORE than the serving size if you go by weight though!!
  • Thanks Everyone!!
  • I am 5'11" and I get this all the time... it is tiresome to say the least...
  • I had -7 calories in my diary yesterday and that is because I ate 7 calories MORE than I was supposed too... This is probably the case here also.
  • I figured out how to change the base info and reset it to my numbers now - of course I will need to get on the scale to see what my current actual weight is tomorrow AM - I haven't checked in years...
  • I lost 17lbs, and have another 14 to go to my first goal - and I see ZERO difference in photos or the mirror. I am still fat and not happy. But I am keeping at it hoping that something will change soon... Still havent even had to buy new clothes yet...
  • A friend of mine was in that boat. He wanted to get married, she didn't. She ended up getting married because it meant that much to her SO. I think you have to ask yourself how important is the relationship to you - and how far are you willing to go to be with that person. For her, keeping him in her life was more…
  • OMG... I loooooooooove watching those videos AND popping pimples and picking scabs on myself, or my SO or kids... I swear I tell them to stay away from me if they have anything like that, cause I CANNOT let it go. My son is 11 and gets pimples now and then... I....CAN'T....let....them.....be MUST POP!!
  • Prishan - you need to use MyFitnessPal and enter your information and let the program give you your goals. Then you need to buy a food scale and use it for EVERYTHING that isn't a liquid. do NOT go off of the packaged information as it is often wrong
