  • I second what @arose1122 says. Your husbands job is a joke - and you cannot afford to buy anything but he now wants to join a gym to build muscles? Sorry - you have other MORE IMPORTANT priorities... Fix the oven if you are so bent on using it. And STOP saying that you CANT cook - as arose above said - you have access to…
  • Try taking Melatonin instead of the other stuff. It is what your body naturally uses for get you sleepy, and you can take it 30-60 minutes before your bed time. It should really help you without chemicals. My DH uses it and is a chronic insomniac until he started using this enough to have his body 'rest' as it were...…
  • you're lucky... I always gain up to 8lbs when TOM comes to town... damn him!
  • @ErinSot - im not a doctor :) maybe it is supposed to help - but I have been getting worse cramps as I get older... even on alesse... That may be just me though.
  • I have been on Alesse longer than I can remember. Other than regular weight gain around TOM - I havent noticed any difference.. I also havent noticed my cramp pain diminished because of it....
  • Just remember, if you link your Fitbit to your MFP account - set your activity to SEDENTARY and ALLOW negative calories. I start my day with 1600 calories a day. When I get to work to log my sleep - I usually have -35 or so calories (1565 calories allowed) to eat at that point - because I have not done much walking to give…
  • As another poster said, I have a fitbit flex that tracks my steps. I have my activity set as SEDENTARY and have negative calories active - so as the day progresses - I get more calories to eat (or not) based on the walking my fitbit logs. In that respect, yes I count my walking... BUT if I set out in the evenings to walk -…
  • I have recently started walking and sometimes biking for an hour or more in the evenings (Pokemon Go don't you know with the family) but that is the extent of my "workouts" whatever calories I gain from those activities (added with the MapMyWalk app) I don't usually eat back anyway as by the time we get home and get kids…
  • I think I will keep track more closely on my Weight Grapher... that shows the trend and you can see your weight on that day 28 days previously... so I should notice a trend always happening around TOM...then I will know
  • Right now I am set at 1600 cal per day based on 1lb a week. When I changed it to 1.5lbs a week it shows me 1350 cal/day. I have a fitbit so my activity is set to Sendentary and gain calories throughout the day - and generally don't eat them ever... I really don't know if 1350 would be workable - I would have to try it...…
  • @vespiquenn really? I had it set at 1lb a week - when I started. I have lost 12 lbs so far since June... I set 175lbs as my first goal to see how I look and feel and then decide if I want to lose more... I suppose I can try 0.5lbs a week - but I am not finding it hard to stay in my calories now at 1lb. and honestly I don't…
  • I do start to gain when TOM is near... but I wasn't sure this soon before TOM was normal. Seems that it is though, and I shouldn't worry. I also am wondering if I should change my loss per week from 1lb to 1.5lbs... I have about 23lbs left to go to my first "goal" Maybe that will help me show more loss...
  • @leejoyce31 yes, I gained weight on the scale this morning... 13 days prior to menses...
  • Well i am set now at 1600 calories a day to lose 1lb a week. My fitbit app says i have 895 calories left to eat and MFP says 497. I have negative calories enabled. If I were to eat back half my calories...i wouldnt know if i should eat back the fitbit ones or the MFP ones... And seeing as fitbit is double MFP...you can see…
  • I don't know personally, but try it... just choose external playlist, and start your amazon music, then launch your mission
  • My second son always had his bum on the right side of my belly. After my second c-section (first was emergency one) I still have the bum bump. I will jiggle it and call it my Mason bum... cause it is bigger on that side then the other... I too am hoping it will go down - but not holding my breath... and I don't think I…
  • If you have to start on your own - I downloaded an App called Zombies Run! I don't run mind you I walk... but it is FUN. It is like war of the worlds with Zombies while you go out and walk/run/bike around... it is set up in missions, and you have people who are "talking to you" through your headset while you listen to your…
  • awesome! Thanks.
  • ok. Cause it really is the equivalent of letting cut fruit float in my water bottle all day. I refill as I finish. So far going on 1500ml of water... same berries I put in this morning...
  • I make Mason Jar soups ALL the time. * Grilled Chicken strips from Costco * raw peppers * raw shallots (long onions with white bottom and green tops?) * Chinese vermicelli noodles (I get these at grocery store in "international" section) * herbs from my garden (parsley, cilantro) * chopped garlic * carrot slivers raw * 1…
  • OMG I never knew that setting was there!!
  • yes, if you have 2 apps tracking your activity that sync with MFP - it will count it twice...
  • Well down 0.4lbs this morning... woo hoo. lol! It's nice to know that others are suffering right along with me!
  • Thanks everyone for your words... I mean I know the science... do it right and it WILL work... just sometimes hard when you don't SEE it working!
  • You know, if I was able to fit in clothes now that I couldn't when I started, I would be ok - but that isn't happening either. As a matter of fact the first time I did this and lost 25lbs - I still found I had to wear my "fat" clothes... I never understood what was wrong.. and that was part of the reason why I gave up.…
  • I hate being impatient LOL
  • yes you are all right... I think what I meant was I lost the weight so far in the first 2 weeks.. so I was hoping that it would continue that well for a little bit longer. I know it isn't linear... just 2 weeks with no movement after 2 weeks with 5lbs each sucks! But yes I want to do this right, and I know on average I am…
  • feel free to add me... im kinds stuck now for the past 2 weeks and trying to motivate myself to actually get up and MOVE now - because my calories in are where they need to be (lower) but im not budging!!
  • I think this is what gets me - I would have thought I would be showing more of a loss at this point. I am happy I went down - and I am going to continue, but I guess with how quickly it came of the first 3 weeks, I was hoping to at least have another couple of weeks with great losses because of the weight I am... I do use…
