  • Most people say you should eat them back, but I generally don't. I like to track my exercise via HRM and endomondo. The problem is how accurate are the calories burned? If I take the dog for a walk, I walk quite fast and can do 3 Miles in around 50 mins. Endomondo says (no HRM) I have expended around 450 cals, with the HRM…

  • I'm gonna stir things up a bit here... Basically I don't eat them back. I work out every morning, don't log it and stick to my calorie goal. If I'm hungry, I'll eat, if I'm not, I won't. I always have a protien shake after my workout though, it's about 145 calories or so. I've been losing about 2 pounds a week so far. Some…
  • Its the old pound of feather and pound of lead debate! A Pound of feathers would be a big bag! Where as a pound of lead, you could probably put in your pocket. I also hate "I Gained a pound this week!!" Answer "you probably gained muscle" I doubt it, you more likley retained some water in you muscles due to a different…

  • I'm quite self conscious and dry myself in the shower cubicle and stick a t shirt on plus some boxers. there is a guy that goes to our gym who is about 200 pounds heavier than me. I was once in the changing room and I sat on the bench and he was across from me getting un dressed. I bent down while sitting to do my laces,…

  • Oh! And try having lemon or lime slices in hot water! Apparently helps weight loss and helps with muscle water retention :-)
  • I've seen this and it was interesting! Dont understand the soup one though. Surely a glass of water after a meal would do the same thing?
  • _____________________________________________________________________________________________ I don't know that Psychology Today could be considered a "bizarre ...website". Granted, it's more like the "Good Housekeeping" version of the profession, but hardly out of the mainstream. Fitness and health sells. And popular…
  • Your kidding right??! I joked to myself about that only yesterday after finishing level 1! "I wonder i can do jumoing jacks with my dumbells?"
  • If this was in a book, i would probably believe it 100 times more than i do reading it on some bizzare psychology website. I hate all these conflicting theories!!!!!!!! Do weights, not cardio!! Do Cardio, no weights!!!! Eat more!! Eat less!! Shut up!! F**k off!!
  • To be honest, I wouldnt log it. I dont log cleaning, mowing grass, gardening or anything like that. Hell, i dont normally log the gym! I take em as bonus calories burned and stick to my daily limit. Its working for me!
  • Do you log it?
  • Or try peanut butter and marmite :noway:

For my breakfast I have: 30g of Porridge oats "oatmeal" A 0% fat toffee flavour yoghurt (muller light here in the UK) normally about 190g and 15g of peanut butter (no added sugar) Mix this together so the peanut butter disolves into the mix. Its really really…
