Whenever I want them. A diet where you are always restricting yourself from the foods you love is bound to fail. Maybe not for everyone, some people can handle it but I know I can't. I love my chips, cookies, and treats way too much to ever restrict them. Needless to say portions are important to consider as well. Instead…

Ooh, I don't feel quilty, I was more just curious what others do. :) I'm not really worried about going over mine, just wondering how others handle going over theirs.
-
Good points everyone :) I especially like the idea of doing a bit more exercise I had a really big breakfast and a mid afternoon snack that put me over a bit :) Halloween candy will be the death of me
-
Oh, good point, thank you. (: I've thought of using the ones at the mall

I'm gonna treat myself to all the clothes I've never allowed myself to wear including that bikini!
-
I do on the days I exercise, which brings it usually closer to the 1,670. I eat back most of my calories from exercise.
-
:flowerforyou: Wowwwwwww! Massive improvements! You go, girl.
-
The scale is discouraging but the inches going is soooooooo awesome to see.
-
I hate mine the way they are. I can't wait for them to shrink a bit!
-
Holy crap! You rock, you are such an inspiration to me not only that you lost weight but that you went from paralysis to running!
-
I'm 5'3 and I'm at 168 right now and my highest was in the 173-174 and I started about a month ago. Not much but I'm hoping now that I'm adding exercise it'll be a little bit more!
-
depends, some can pull it off and some can't, but I like it
-
I've never been confident to wear a 2 piece and that sucks. I'm 5'3 and 167 right now so I'm hoping to be at least 130 by summer. :)

Thank you so much to everyone who answers, I feel so much better and motivated that I can do this. My asthma has only improved over the years, much worse when I was little so I'll just use my rescue inhaler before and take it with me in case. I'm looking into the app as well (: Also I do plan on doing the 30 Day Shred at…

I started because my teen years were spent hating myself and my weight and my rock bottom was kinda seeing that I was wasting my youth sitting inside wishing I had more confidence and knowing my lack of confidence was due to my poor body image. So I started using MFP to count my calories and I set up a deficit. Thank god I…

great advice everyone, thank you so much! I'll be running around my apartment complex and using the C25k program :) wilsoje74: great to hear, I'm a Minnesotan too. Only thing concerns me is my asthma That's great, janinab75! Congrats. I've never tried running but have wanted too for a very long time. I have a pair of…

Chili is absolutely delicious mmmm sounds good right now :P

I disagree. I think it's 100% calorie deficit.
-
I don't exercise much but I've lost already just by counting my calories. So I say yes
-
I eat 1,200 because it works for me at my height, weight, age and activity level. If I increase my activity level on a certain day I'd increase my intake for that day.
-
Thank you for all your tips! I know I've failed before in the past because I thought you had to cut out every food you love so I always ended up giving up before I had a chance to lose anything. Also, I'm losing steadily about 1.4 a week which I think is a good rate for me WalkingAlong: I never thought of it that way,…
-
I'll do that, thanks! I've been drinking orange juice, tea, smoothies and tons of water. 1,200 is more a starting point, I do go up to 1,300-1,500 some days. And I'm definitely looking into a kitchen scale after all I've heard about weighing your food.

gigglesinthes: I gained weight when I was younger and I never worked on taking it off until now. Before I worked on trying to lose weight I did drink a LOT of my calories in soda and juices and I would usually eat really calorie dense foods so it seemed like I was eating less but I was eating more so that's why I wasn't…

Kristy6ward: You're absolutely right, I'm not used to eating over 1,000 calories in a day (simply bad habits, not eating and not listening to my body when it's hungry). I'll gradually increase then instead of over eating to make up calories. psulemon: That's really helpful! thank you so much, I'll do that :) Thanks…
