probably water retention from working out. happened to me. then I took a rest day (or two lol) and it all went away and I droped a few pounds in a day. before that I was losing inches but gaining weight. other suggestions - time of month water gain - high carb or salt making you retain?

is that MFP? it is set to a max of 2lb a week for everyone. it also doesn't allow you to go under 1000 cals. ignore it and carry on

Great tips - prep veggies 3 days at a time (they do keep!) - wrap broccoli in foil - clingfilm top of banana bunch to keep fresh as for cooking - make last nights dinner big, then use for tomorrow lunch. -

Thanks - seems what RGv2 is saying is spot on. i know 1lb muscle is smaller than fat but denser. but what most people don't reliase is that one must be in surplus to gain muscle. i am not lifting but am running 5 miles a day a mix of jogging and intverals.

all these can cause water retention - period -flu -salt -carbs -certain meds although you apparently only have 0.5lb of glycogen in the liver, my personal experience is up to about 5 or 6 lbs water weight which is there one day gone the next.

I think people DO notice but don't want to say anything. personally I notie when people have lost weight but I never say anything. unless its like 50lbs and they look completely different lol

I think the main reason is, if you are on a VLCD you are likely to be eating horrible food. like lettuce and stff all the time. or special diet food. you get down to goal weight. naturally youslack off and areglad to eat normal food again and might stop your punishing early morning runs. while you may not binge you would…
