agreed. every time I do the "oh, I won't on the weekends" thing I stop losing because i'm eating all the foods. I am guessing you also eat differently on the weekend, and not just your grazing like you do at work. On way to get around this is to work out your TDEE on a site such as TDEEcalculator.net and get your total…

A couple of things: - wore down body and things hurt: what kind of hurt? As in injury hurt or as in my muscles are sore hurt? Also - someone above mentioned about how after 1 week you shouldn't be going off doing stuff on your own and you should find a new box - I tend to agree with that. I also am not a CrossFit…

cheap department stores like Target/KMart. At least here in Australian anyway. I get tank top t-shirts for like $5 at K-Mart. A sports bra thing is around $10 and the shorts the same. The quality isnt' brilliant, but it does the trick.

I personally don't care what I wear. Most of it is stuff I buy when I go on holidays to Brazil anyway so they're brands no-one has ever heard about but are way better quality and heaps cheaper than any of the big brand stuff. However, that being said, if it's going to make YOU feel better about exercising if you look a…

I have massive calves too. My legs will never be slim and stickly. They now look more shapely though since I started bodybuilding and doing calf exercises - I was so scared to do that at first because I thought they would grow even more and be gigantic, but in actual fact, they now look more shapely, particularly on the…

I find, as a female, unless i'm weighing every day to see my trend I get random "weird" numbers on the scale - for example - recently I haven't been weighing daily and i'm on a bulk. Last time I weighed last week sometime (I'm weighing just when I feel like it, not being consistent on a special day even though Friday is my…

Your flat tummy will only happen once you lose enough body fat. Unfortunately you can do a billion sit-ups a day, but if you still have fat over your abs, they won't show up. It's also the last place for fat to disappear from! Yeay! (sarcasm) Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I use Happy Scale and it hasn't told me how much I will weigh in x time. Maybe it has that function but I just haven't looked for it or turned it on. It just shows the graph and the green trend or red trend depending on my adherence to diet!!!

see, this is when i start to find the MFP way of calculating things too fluctuating for my liking. Each day dependent on exercise you can eat from like 1500 on one day to 2000 on another (I had a quick flick through your diary). I prefer, personally, to work out my TDEE using a calculator such as tdeecalculator.net and…

Calories alone will work, because science. I personally follow macros (which ends up being calories at the end of the day anyway) because of specific goals - so I make sure I have the right protein and fat and carbs based on my needs at any point. People also like to follow macros to see what makes them feel more satiated…

ok - so, if you are just interested in body building and not strongmaning or powerlifting - get straps. I use Versa Grips and they are a saviour. I can't lift of pull down stuff without them when the weights get too heavy for my *kitten* little wrists and delicate fingers. With them on tho - easy as pie. Lots of people use…

have you thought of hiring one of the gym personal trainers to show you how to do stuff? They also can give you a program to follow. That way you don't feel lost or like you don't know what to do. Does your gym have classes? That is also a good way to get started - you go to class, you have to be there for the whole time -…

both my scales get moved every day. My body weight scale lives under my shoe bookshelf (as in bookshelf turned into shoe cupboard) and I have to move it to the bathroom - to a precise location on the wonky bathroom floor - I have counted out exactly which tiles it has to be on so that it's stable. I have to put it down,…

My fave body part to train is back. And it shows LOL! If I spent half as much time that I do on my back on my legs/butt, I'd actually have a butt and more sculpted legs by now.

totally agree with @apullum you must weight EVERYTHING. No cups, teaspoons, etc. A digital scale these days you can pick up from the supermarket or KMart or any cheap store for like $10. No need to get the fancy ones. You'd be better off getting a new scale and weighing everything and making sure you are choosing entries…

Yes I know that. This was when I had a coach and was doing a particular thing for my particular goal at that time. On a normal day to day basis I don't care and don't let the red number get to me. But when i'm paying someone to help me get to a certain goal, I need to hit (or close to hit) the correct macros. And I can't…

Ah basically calorie cycling with a different name. Can't do it on free version, you'll have to fork out for premium in order to do it. I have manually done it but it's a pain in the butt to have to go in there every day and change my calories based on whatever the daily allotment is. I didn't cycle daily though, I had 4…

Agreed with all the above, keep pushing for further tests, see a specialist. Also - re the diarrhea, it could also be something simple like worms/parasite of some sort so definitely get stool samples!!! Definitely NOT normal to be having diarrhea every day for ages.

Interesting that you say keto is too expensive. I don't keto myself, but I have a student here where I work who is on poor student budget and he has been keto-ing successfully (and making sure to tell me all about it and try to make me do it) for the last year or so. He buys meats in bulk at cheaper price and all the other…

Food (as in more quantity) Looks (as in more muscles) Health (as in don't fall apart or break) Fun (as in I enjoy it)

beans make you bloat. Well - they make me bloat anyway. And so do a whole bunch of other veggies such as cauliflower and broccoli and even green beans if I eat them all the time. as everyone else on here has said - you need to eat more. And re the constipation, if you have not yet seen a health professional, maybe you…

Can I ask why you are doing keto? just for weight loss or also for other health reasons such as pre-diabetic? I'm pretty sure there are a bunch of keto threads on here too that you should check out which will be able to help you connect to other people who do keto also. Good luck with it!

I have a good solid back on me. My wings are wide and things ripple and bulge while i'm working out. Pity I can't see it though because it's behind me!

My only comment is that when i'm needing to watch my calories, I never get sausage because I can never eat enough of them and keep within a reasonable calorie count. I get way more bang for my calorie buck eating lean steak or chicken (or even fatty chicken like chicken thighs) - as in can eat way more and has higher…

Love it that you are not a "rabid fanatic" :) Rare gem you are! Well done with your loss and your journey. I totally agree that we must do what works for us. I'm currently on my last week (or maybe 2 weeks, to be determined at the end of this week) of a bulk cycle and I have put on a bit more than I wanted to, but ah well.…

I went to the gym nearly every day (as in work week 4-5 days a week) for a whole YEAR and had zero loss. My fitness improved though! Then I realised I had to actually shut my mouth and eat less. I was eating "healthy" foods, not like I was eating take-out or whatever, I've always enjoyed cooking and eating so my actual…
