So, I'm glad you're giving up soda, it's definitely bad for you. However, the Coke info graphic is so wrong. Two Twinkies have 37g of sugar, no phosphoric acid. Sprite has 38g of sugar, no phosphoric acid. You may have had a phantom reaction. I still allow myself one Dr. Pepper a day, fit in to my allowances. Maybe a…

I'll have to check it out, thanks! White potatoes are a trigger food, I'd eat them all! And sweet potatoes are one of the very few vegetables that I don't like, but thanks for your input!

This, but you didn't really do anything wrong with your response though. I would give her some time. She'll get over it. Either way, you did great resisting temptation!

I do rinse it throughly! Probably too thoroughly. As for the fiber of it, I've been eating it daily for almost two months now, but the tummy issues have only started a few weeks ago. I removed various things from my diet. Last night I didn't have any quinoa, and my symptoms disappeared. I do have a lot of food…

Those probiotic radio commercials that say you might not be fat, you might just be bloated. Cleanses "You can't eat that on a diet". Watch me. Any diet with a name. Atkins, slim-fast, Jenny Craig, etc.

Thanks, I'll look it up! I was looking at Moov as well because you can wear it around your ankle.

I was using a whey protein powder, but it caused stomach issues. Some people can't digest whey and it passes in to the intestines where it has to be fermented, causing pain, gas and bloating. My neighbor is a dietitian and she recommends either brown rice protein or pea protein, as they are hypoallergenic and easy to…

I'll second the Quest chocolate chip cookie dough!

I had the same problem. When, two months ago, I first started eating better and exercising I had a hard time sleeping. When I did fall asleep I would sleep for 12 hours. I've lost 14 pounds, but it's only been the past few days that I've been sleeping better. I fall asleep quickly and wake up ready to go. I would give it…

I have 100 lbs to lose as well. My advice to you is don't be too restrictive, allow yourself a small treat, find exercise that you enjoy (I started going to a boxing gym, and I have so much fun I don't even realize I worked out for 90 minutes! It makes all the difference when you're having fun), try new exercises until you…

I use Jarrow Formulas Unflavored Whey Protein Powder. I have a hard time with sweeteners, so unflavored was the best option, but it really blends well. It doesn't taste chalky, and adds a creaminess to my smoothie.

Are you constipated? Sometimes constipation can cause pain in that area. Or it could possibly be an ulcer. Definitely talk to your doctor!
-
I added a whey protein powder to my morning smoothie. It's 94 calories for 18g of protein

Beans are also a good source of potassium. Especially white and kidney beans. Just make sure you aren't getting too much potassium, as that can be life threatening.

Went to the gym today when I really didn't want to (too many rainy days is bringing me down) but I went anyway and had a great workout!

I'm 234 lbs (at 5'8), and I've started C25K, but I added extra steps on to it because I'm really out of shape. For instance I just walked for two weeks, then When I actually started the program, I jogged every other time it prompted me to. Then I redid week one jogging every time. Just take it slow, don't over do it.
-
I lost 20 pounds and didn't even notice it myself. It takes time.

Thanks for your advice! I'll look up the suggestions that were posted and go from there. Its not necessarily something he'd wear all the time, just when afib is suspected. I appreciate your responses!

I had bad endometriosis and fibroids. I used to eat everything in sight like a vacuum, so I totally get the cravings. I had a hysterectomy a few years ago, and things have gotten much better. But, I still do get cravings. What works for me is keeping some individually wrapped chocolate (like Dove) and a small bag of potato…

My family makes fun of me too, but we're a "the more I pick on you the more I love you" type family. Sometimes I wish they would stop, but it kind of makes me determined too.

I never really had the motivation to lose more than 10 pounds. Last spring, I stumbled on some clean eating recipes and thought 'wow, I could do this!'. I lost 23 pounds by September. Then I got sick with a terrible sinus infection and I just couldn't keep up with diet and exercise. Two surgeries, countless antibiotics and…

Open. I like constructive criticism and advice is always welcome. Its easier to keep open in case I need help with something. I haven't had a bad comment yet, but if I did I tell them where to stick it.

Yep! I say February 2013, and it takes them a minute to register. Then I get the "huh?" look, and I explain. My primary's nurses have stopped asking. I know I'm PMSing by the hives I get on my boobs (which have decreased dramatically after my hysterectomy), and the slight craving for potato chips.
-
Thank you! It was awful. PMS was like having the flu for a week, feeling like I dying, period for a week with heavy bleeding, wishing I would die, and then it took a week to recover. A lot of women who don't have issues in that department don't understand. There were a few "friends" that thought I was just weak. I truly…

Did you gyno do a laparoscopy? That is the only way to truly diagnose endo. My gyno didn't think I had it either, until I finally convinced him to do a laparoscopy. I had such bad endo and fibroids they had to take out my uterus (I was done having kids anyway). I wanted to say "I told you so" so bad.
