  • ROTFLMBO!!!! Get a new mirror!!!!! Yours is obviously broken!
  • Finding out that I was busting out of size 18W clothing....had to make a change to be around for my grandchildren. Now, I am a size 8, and even those are loose. Feels fantastic to be so full of energy. Saw others who had had gastric bypass and never seemed to lose an ounce....decided that I would have to put the work in to…
  • There are sugar free cake mixes on the market...I get mine at Walmart. Also sugar free frostings.
  • That would be my guess....I have noticed that if I forget to close out a day, the program automatically moves to the next day.
  • Took a peek....you seem to be going over on your sugar pretty much every day. I noticed you're not tracking sodium. I suspect that might be high as well. I also notice you're drinking coffee every day, as well. Sodium and caffiene are the two things that can cause your body to be stubborn at holding fluids and weight.…
  • You have to be on a plan that you can call a lifestyle change. It has to be something realistic that you can maintain for the long term. Your body needs good carbs for energy. Eat a balanced, lower fat diet, eliminating the processed foods as much as possible. I know this means that you'll have to plan ahead and prepare a…
  • Ask if they can set up the donuts elsewhere.

  • No matter where you eat out, there are healthier choices you can make. If you just have to have junky foods, ask for a take-out box when your food comes and split your portion in half. Put a half in the box before you even begin eating. Best wishes.
  • I'm with you there! I eat things that are healthy, knowing all the while that I'd like to eat the junk I used to eat. But, the key is, every once in a while you have to treat yourself to something you like. By the way, impressive results for you so far.
  • Your body needs time to adjust to not being pregnant...give it time and stick with it. So sorry for your loss.
  • You can find structure with eating here on the site. Monitoring what you eat and being accountable to it is what works best. Atkins is a program that says you can eat all the meats/fats you want, but have to steer clear of carbs. I did it for a couple of years and lost 30 pounds. My cardiologist told me to stop doing it…
  • Watching the shows "Heavy" and "Ruby"...knowing I don't ever want to go there.
  • The girl at the front desk knows your card number by heart. You keep you workout gear in the car! You feel guilty if you miss one day! Your family thinks you've gone overboard.
  • I hear you....worst is those who go to the gym, get on a machine with the phone to their ear! No one is that important!
  • Yay! on not being discouraged....are you drinking lots of water? That will help. Best wishes on your journey!
  • Ever since I started watching the food I eat, I noticed my bowel movements are slowing down. I've been eating a lot more fruits and vegetables and eating essentially no processed foods. Your body simply has less waste to eliminate than before. All of the junk and processed foods are harder for the body to digest,…

  • I take fish oil, vitamin E, calcium, and iron every day.

  • Not sure about the calorie burn...I think you get that from moving. I recently bought a pair of the Skechers Shape-ups. They run about $80.00 at the Skechers stores, but they are well worth it. The first week, I felt such a tightness in my butt and legs, it was ridiculous!! I can really see the difference in the way my…
  • ((Hug)) Stay with us...simply allow yourself a few great meals. You also have to consider the damage that purging can do to your esophogas, stomach, and cardiac sphincter. The diet coke habit is concerning...since you want to lose weight. It has a lot of sodium in it and makes you retain fluids. We are here to help you and…

  • I don't run anymore. I do 45 minutes on the treadmill everyday at a 3.5mph pace...this is after an hour on the elliptical. I am former military, and therefore, have bad knees and a bad back. Running puts stress on the joints and bones that I just can't deal with. You need to do what's comfortable and enjoyable for you. It…
  • I agree...takes me an hour and 45 minutes to burn just over 1000 calories doing one hour of elliptical and 45 minutes of walking at 3.5mph on treadmill. I don't get it either.
  • Had mine reduced in 2000. It was by far one of the best decisions I could have made. I got so tired of watching people looking at my chest. Even the Pastor's wife found herself unable to control the urge to look down at them. I had back and neck pain, and shoulder pain. Even wearing three bras, exercise was soooo painful.…
  • Took a peek at your diary. You are coming really close or over on your sodium intake on most days. Additionally, your water intake isn't really where it should be every day. Also, is it close to that TOM? Could be that your body has decided to hold the sodium because of increased fluid retention. Just some thoughts. Not…
  • Eight pounds in five weeks is considered healthy weight loss. That's what you should be shooting for....it's more attainable and maintainable. To try to lose more would mean in increased risk of gaining it back.
