  • Definitely look into taking a daily vitamin...focused on Energy and Metabolism. I just started taking Vitamin D a month ago and that seems to help on those 'lazy' feeling days. I work out everyday and when I start to feel sluggish like that it usually means it's time to take a day off.

  • Pepperidge Farms Devil's Food frozen cake.... the whole dang thing and a half gallon of skim milk which was all well over 2000 calories. Ahhh pregnancy was so great to me. LOL
  • Yup, I'm obsessed too.... BUT.... I wonder how many people are TOO obsessed and not getting off their butts to exercise!!! Something to think about when we all are just sitting around obsessing....
  • Today is Day 5 of Level 2 for me.... and I am down another inch in the waist line. I don't plan on weighing myself for at least another week but I have to tell you all that on a whim I tried on smaller pants and was pretty successful. According to a trainer friend of mine I am down to about 22% body fat so I am actually…
  • stationary bike, core work, yoga.... G'luck!
  • Oh Gosh! I am a snack-a-holic. In fact, some days I will skip a meal just so I can snack. It's terrible. I snack on things like celery, fruit/nut/seed mixes, Sensible Portions (a brand that Walmart carries) has great snacks, salsa and crackers...I suppose if you need healthy and non healthy ideas, my food diary is where…
  • I've had FANTASTIC results... well, at least I think so! 30 lbs down and I've moved on to Ripped in 30 and all of her other DVDs. You will love it. Just promise yourself to STICK TO IT! And add in some cardio time as well. G'luck! Feel free to add me for support.
  • Bake it with lemon slices and sprinkle it with garlic and/or pepper. That's pretty much how I do all the fish I eat.

  • I would do the Shred every day for 5/6 days a week and 6wk6pk on top of the Shred. I found that 6wk6pk wasn't enough for me on it's own. G'luck with whatever you decide to do! Jillian ROCKS! I've personally didn't like the Shred it with Weights. 30 Day Shred and Ripped in 30 have been my all time favorites and have given…
  • Woot! Good for you. I love those moments of victory.
  • One of my biggest changes in my journey was getting rid of soda. I had headaches/migraines for 2 weeks. Now, I can't even finish a soda! I don't crave or desire it but ugh those headaches were so bad I thought I was going to die. I don't know much about your personal situation but I do know that migraines suck! and I hope…
  • 30 lbs gone and I still see the same person in the mirror but all my clothes fit differently and some are just too big. I think we all have to get their mentally at some point and I personally, haven't reached it yet. G'luck to you.
  • Doesn't sound like a very good friend.... Doesn't sound like someone I, personally, would call my friend. You are doing wonderful. I have at least 3 candy bars a week... and still have managed to lose 30 lbs in 3 months. I would hate to hear what your 'friend' would say about me! Oh, and I have a slight weakness for cake…
  • I LOATHE mornings but my daughters don't like to waste daylight, so both of them are up with the sun all year round but when morning nap happens I used to nap with them BUT now I take the opportunity and work out and it's been a life saver for me. It gets me energized for the rest of the day and my sleep problems that use…
  • Do you eat before or after your workout? And what are you eating? Sometimes the problem isn't when you work out, it's about what you are eating! I can never get through a morning workout strong if I don't have something to eat first and then I usually follow it up with a protein drink or light snack. And of course, water…
  • I always start with chicken breasts, fish, and veggie burgers...then I think about the things I want to go with them. I get frozen steam bagged veggies, salads, fresh veggies to go on my salads or that I can steam. I'm not big on fruits but I will get frozen fruits for smoothies. Low cal/fat free/low fat/sugar free yogurts…
  • Not a KFC fan... but there is something to be said for some good ol' fashion mashed potatoes and gravy and a 'lean' side of beef! On the other hand, grapes? loads of sugar... and I struggle with keeping my sugar intake down so grapes are no longer on my 'can eat' list...especially if it's days when I need a chocolate fix.…
  • When I track my breastfeeding, I put it as 1 min of exercise. I can only imagine what people think when they see I burned 300 calories in 1 minute. Maybe it's not as simple as just reading the news feed. And I wasn't offended by any means, I was just stating that sometimes, just sometimes, I see way too many postings on…
  • Anything is possible when it comes to getting periods. Any chance of pregnancy?
  • I burn over 1000 almost daily..... This is how most of my days go.... My morning workout is usually 60 min. on the bike that averages between 500-600 burned In the evening I do one of my DVD workouts that generally average 300-350 burned Following that I do another 30-60 minutes of cardio on treadmill or bike for another…
  • Find your local running store and get their suggestions made just for you. They will get you on a treadmill and see exactly what will be best for you. As far as brands go, look into Asics. I have a pair of GT 2150's and a pair of K-swiss Run 100's that I love.
  • I know what you mean! I get told to 'lighten up' on my food choices. I wonder if they realize how I got 'fat' in the first place? Sometimes I really have to bite my tongue so that I am not saying things like, "Yea, look how far that has gotten you" or "Looked in the mirror lately?" LOL... I mean, I know those are very…
  • Walmart has sugar free sweet tea in gallon jugs that pretty much has nothing in it. I was certain I would hate being that I love me some homemade sugar loaded sweet tea but it's not bad at all! Donuts used to be my weakness...I haven't had one since December. GO YOU! that takes major will power.
  • Great for you!!! I started my journey with her 30DS and seen significant changes in a short amount of time. But it got easy! SO I am now on to Ripped in 30. I did Level 1 for 7 days with 5 lb weights when using 2 weights and 8 lb weight while using 1 weight. I just finished Day 3 of Level 2 using 5 lbs weights. In the time…
  • Well...I was a habitual over sleeper for the past couple of years and then I had a sleep study done and found out that I had mild sleep apnea which wasn't allow me to get 'good' sleep. After I lost my first 10 lbs, I started noticing that I was waking up earlier and staying up instead of going back to bed like I would have…
  • Both of you are amazing! and honestly, you look like you've lost triple that amount! You look beautiful!
  • I'd toss out both scales!
  • Thanks for all the feedback. I do feel great with what I am doing. These burns have allowed me to eat more and not feel guilty. Who doesn't love that? I'd like to think I am fairly educated on matters of fitness and only because I sat on my couch and read books and blogs for 2 years before deciding it was actually time to…
  • You all are so brave. I admire that! I have horrible stretch marks that start above my belly button and go down from there. I am almost to the point where I would feel comfortable in a bikini BUT I can't get past what I refer to as my 'battle scars' and the extra skin that will probably NEVER go away. If you got the…
