I totally agree. I think the C25K program is a great one. It starts you out slow enough so that you avoid injury which is a very common thing for new runners. I think you are off to a great start and your determination is amazing! Keep at it! You will get there, I promise!

Oooooh are they ever!! The Cadbury Eggs and Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs are my two main weaknesses in this life. I have eaten an obscene number of both candies in one sitting. I once ate so many of the Cadburys my head literally felt like it was spinning from all the sugar. What a pig I was.

It was 7 days before I saw a one pound loss. Talk about discouraging! Then the second & third week seemed to move much faster.

I don't know how the conversation came about with the mutual friend. He has never done anything out of line and always is very respectful. I haven't hit a plateau YET, but I think it's going to happen very soon. I am down to the last 9 lbs and I would like to avoid the plateau thing altogether. I read that article too. I usually set the treadmill to 1% when I am not able to run outdoors. The treadmill really is a 'crutch' when set on its 0% setting.

This is the very reason I don't drink coffee anymore. In order to drink it and like it, I had to load it up with TONS of flavored creamer and sugar or sweetener. UGH! It tasted more like a dessert after I was finished doctoring it up. Now I just forego coffee altogether.
